In recent times, Vinh Loi youth have always promoted the spirit of volunteerism, actively participating in the movement of “eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses”, contributing to supporting housing for poor households and families in difficult circumstances. Many solid houses have been completed thanks to the joint efforts of the Youth Union, bringing joy and warmth to the people.
The movement of “eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses” is gradually spreading strongly in the commune, Vinh Loi youth is the core force contributing to realizing that goal. These practical actions not only help people settle down, but also affirm the role and responsibility of youth in building an increasingly prosperous and sustainable homeland, realizing the spirit of “Where there is need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth”.
* On the same afternoon, the Women's Union of Chau Thoi commune coordinated with the Youth Union to support two near-poor households who were building new houses under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tam Hung and Cong Dien hamlets. About 40 members and union members participated, divided into two groups to support the families of Ms. Dang Thi Dep (Cong Dien hamlet) and Ms. Nguyen Hong Hanh (Tam Hung hamlet), contributing to speeding up the progress of completing the houses, helping the households to soon stabilize their lives.
Women's Union members and Doan Chau Thoi commune union members support households with sanitation and reuse old roofing sheets to roof houses.
The women members and the Youth Union actively participated in many specific tasks such as: cleaning the area around the house construction, transporting bricks, stones, and sand for pouring the foundation; using old corrugated iron sheets to cover the roof, helping to save costs for the household. The working atmosphere took place urgently and enthusiastically, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and mutual love.
Supporting labor days not only helps households reduce labor costs during the housing construction process, but also contributes to speeding up construction progress, helping new houses to be completed and put into use soon. Thereby, creating conditions for households to have stable housing, feel secure in working and production, and rise up to escape poverty sustainably. This is an action that demonstrates the pioneering role of the youth and women in social security work, but also contributes to spreading the spirit of sharing, building increasingly close-knit village relationships.

In the coming time, the Union will continue to mobilize members to join hands to support more households in need of building new houses, gradually completing the goal of eliminating temporary houses in the area.”
It is known that this time Chau Thoi commune will build and repair a total of 130 houses for poor, near-poor and extremely disadvantaged households from the Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Program. Each newly built house will be supported with 60 million VND from the Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Program.
