In the western region of Lam Dong province, over 7,600 households have participated in the coffee value chain.

Building on the successes of recent years, in 2025, coffee chains in the western part of the province will continue to demonstrate their advantages, especially in terms of high prices. This area currently has 25 linkages covering 13,284 hectares with 7,691 participating households, totaling nearly 13,300 hectares and producing nearly 41,000 tons. Significantly, the number of participating households is increasing, and the scale of cultivation is expanding.

In Nhan Co commune, Mr. Pham Van Kha's family in Hamlet 5 has partnered with a local processing and purchasing enterprise to grow pepper according to international 4C standards. According to Mr. Kha, his family currently has 2 hectares of pepper, and in the 2025-2026 harvest season, they expect to yield nearly 8 tons, a higher productivity of over 1 ton compared to the previous season. With a selling price exceeding 100 million VND per ton, this has brought in hundreds of millions of VND in income for the family after deducting investment costs. He considers the most beneficial aspect to be the consistently higher prices compared to the market average, and the fact that the product is produced according to standardized procedures, thus protecting family health, the environment, and the land – essential elements for sustainable farming.

According to the Economic Department of Nhan Co commune, in recent years, the number of households participating in value chains such as coffee, pepper, and durian with businesses and cooperatives inside and outside the province has been increasing. 2025 will continue to be a year where value chains and linkages score points due to the higher economic value they bring to all parties, especially farmers, contributing to the development of the agricultural economy. These chains are the focus and driving force in applying new scientific and technical advancements from cultivation in the fields to preservation and processing, contributing significantly to increasing the agricultural value of the commune.

In Quang Phu commune, these linkages continue to make a significant contribution to the development of local agriculture , which is gradually being restructured towards high-quality, high-tech, and climate-adaptive commodity production; production is also aligned with market demands.

A typical example is the linkage between farmers and leading seed companies nationwide for high-tech corn seed production on a scale of 300 hectares. Accordingly, participating farmers receive parent corn seeds, supplies, technical guidance on cultivation, and guaranteed purchase of their entire harvest. Many households with good farming practices can achieve incomes 2-3 times higher than growing conventional commercial corn. According to the leaders of Quang Phu commune, in 2025, the number of participating households will continue to record higher incomes, and the locality will continue to implement and work with businesses to expand production scale as the number of households wishing to participate increases.

According to preliminary statistics, the western region of Lam Dong province has established and maintained 113 agricultural production and consumption linkages along the value chain, involving approximately 10,000 households. These linkages cover 11 key agricultural product sectors, all of which are strengths and potential assets of the province, such as coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, durian, mangoes, and vegetables. Many linkages have cultivation processes that meet national and international good agricultural practices standards such as VietGAP, GlobalGAP, Organic, 4C, Rainforest Alliance, and UTZ…

These linkages develop between businesses, cooperatives, and agricultural households, establishing concentrated raw material areas to meet market demands. Through these linkages, farmers' economic capacity is enhanced, and they can apply advanced techniques in production; increasing the added value of agricultural products through preliminary processing and further processing to serve domestic consumption and export needs.
