The program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" will open on August 23.

The opening ceremony of the program " Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) will be held at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) on the evening of August 23.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, propaganda work before, during and after the program is being promoted to ensure that the program takes place as planned. According to the plan, the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" will take place from August 23-25, including activities such as: Visiting Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ton Duc Thang Museum; offering flowers to Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton monuments; visiting and offering incense at Cho Quan Hospital Prison (where comrade Tran Phu sacrificed); visiting and presenting gifts to 70 families of policy beneficiaries and outstanding meritorious people; meeting and working with Ho Chi Minh City leaders.

The highlight of the program is the Opening Ceremony of the program "Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City" which will be solemnly held by the two cities at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1) on the evening of August 23.

In addition, the program also includes activities to display documents related to the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital; promote and introduce products, combine tourism promotion linking the two cities; friendly sports between the two cities; and artistic exchange of "youth melodies" of the youth of the two cities.

Hanoi City will provide bold, complete and accurate information about the activities and cooperative relationships between Hanoi Capital and Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of the Southeast and Mekong Delta.

The program “Hanoi Days in Ho Chi Minh City” aims to promote the great significance of the Capital Liberation Day; the achievements of 70 years of construction and development of the Capital in the process of building and defending the Fatherland. The activity also aims to promote and introduce the cultural characteristics and unique cultural heritage of the thousand-year-old capital Hanoi; the elegant and civilized people of the Capital, Hanoi - City for peace, creative city; strengthen the cooperative relationship between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in promoting and exploiting the potential and advantages of culture, cultural heritage, tourism; economy, services, trade.
