Charity program, health check-up, free medicine in Son La

On November 29, the Bui Ethnic Council of Son La province coordinated with the Vietnam Bui Family Physicians Club and the Provincial Center for Disease Control to organize a "Charity program, health check-up, consultation, Phaco surgery support, free medicine" for about 500 poor households, policy families and people in Son La province.

  At the program, 35 doctors and nurses from Military Hospital 103, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Central Dermatology Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital and Son La Provincial General Hospital directly performed clinical examinations, general internal medicine, dermatology, musculoskeletal, eye examinations; abdominal ultrasound; X-ray; blood sugar and cholesterol screening tests; and distributed 500 free prescriptions for the treatment of common diseases such as: High blood pressure, joint pain, bronchitis, allergies to the people. In addition, the Delegation also supported free Phaco surgery for 40 people with cataracts. The total cost of the program was more than 400 million VND.
