Ngu Bo Wharf is part of the program Forever Golden Bell , which will be broadcast on HTV9 channel on the evening of July 20. Minh Truong will act alongside young artist Le Trinh.
Minh Truong is expected to play the role of warrior Le Liem.
Minh Truong won the Golden Bell of Traditional Opera in 2014. He is currently an artist of Tran Huu Trang Opera House. The hero Le Liem in Ben Nuoc Ngu Bo is a brave young man who was chased by the Ming army when he followed the flag of righteousness to preserve the independence of the nation.
This role is not too difficult compared to the previous characters that Minh Truong has played. Therefore, the audience is waiting to hear Minh Truong perform to vividly portray the image of a patriotic warrior who sacrifices himself for the peace of his homeland.
Paired with Minh Truong in the play is young artist Le Trinh (as Trinh). Trinh has the advantage of having just portrayed this character in the drama production of Ben Nuoc Ngu Bo - the graduation play directed by student Chien Thang in January this year.
In the play, Hoang Quoc Thanh played the role of hero Le Liem 16 years ago, and this time he plays the role of the only male character - General Dang Ich.
In addition, artist Dien Trung also reprised the role of Tran Bach, which he replaced for artist Chieu Hung 16 years ago. Artist Thanh Hong played a heavy role in the play - the old ferryman.

The story of Ngu Bo Wharf is set in a setting, the time is only about one day and one night at Ngu Bo River Wharf. There is a wine shop of a poor old boatman and his son.
They were just unknown civilians, but when the hero Le Liem was chased by the enemy, they did not care about their lives, determined to protect and take the young man across the river to continue following the flag to free the country from the shackles of the invaders.
Love for the homeland and sacrifice for the nation's freedom come from ordinary people, whose names are not mentioned in history books, but they make people feel moved and proud, further fueling their intense patriotism.
The poetic drama Ben Nuoc Ngu Bo by author Hoang Cong Khanh was published several decades ago.
In 2009, with the reformed opera adaptation by author Vo Tu Uyen and directed by Le Nguyen Dat, Ben Nuoc Ngu Bo made a strong impression at the National Professional Reformed Opera Festival.
Audiences and professionals loved it so much that the play won a silver medal that year, but many articles "demanded" that the play receive a gold medal to be worthy.
