Under the leadership and direction of the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Group's Party Committee, after more than 2 years of implementation, Resolution 184-NQ/DU (referred to as Resolution 184) has been implemented by the entire political system of the Group with high determination.

The Party Committee of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (Group Party Committee) issued Conclusion No. 894-KL/DU dated October 31, 2024 on continuing to promote the implementation of Resolution No. 184-NQ/DU dated February 15, 2022 of the Group Party Committee on "Implementing digital transformation at enterprises and units in the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group by 2025, with a vision to 2030".
The Group's General Director has issued documents, directives and conclusions on promoting digital transformation (DCT) in the spirit of Resolution 184-NQ/DU.
In particular, the propaganda and dissemination work is implemented by the Group and its units through many forms such as: posting articles on the Group's electronic information channels (website, Petrotimes, Intraweb), disseminating in writing, organizing seminars, conferences, thematic meetings, competitions to learn about digital transformation... to disseminate to all staff in the whole Group the Party Committee's and the Group's policies on digital transformation work.
Every year, the Group and its units in the main fields of operation have proactively invested in building an information technology infrastructure system and information technology applications to serve production and business activities and corporate governance. At the same time, regular training courses on digital transformation are organized for management levels as well as employees of the Group; specialized seminars to exchange, share and introduce information technology solutions applied in the energy sector from experienced experts to support digital transformation work at PetroVietnam and its member units.
In recent times, many new directive documents playing an important role of all levels related to digital transformation work have been issued, such as: Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW of the Politburo on the strategic orientation of the Vietnamese oil and gas industry to 2025, with a vision to 2035 and some orientations for the new period; Resolution No. 38/NQ-CP on the implementation plan of Conclusion No. 76-KL/TW dated April 24, 2024 of the Politburo; Decision No. 914/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on approving the Program on applying achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in ensuring national energy security to 2030...
Therefore, the Party Committee of the Group requires Party committees/leaders of units in the Group to focus on leading and directing the continued implementation of the digital transformation goal at enterprises and units in the Group by 2025, with a vision to 2030 set out in Resolution 184, while closely following the directives of all levels.

Accordingly, from now until 2025, it is necessary to continue reviewing/updating/adjusting and promulgating the Digital Transformation Strategy in sync with the Oil and Gas Industry Development Strategy, PetroVietnam Development Strategy and the Parent Company - Group Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and building a common database of the oil and gas industry.
From 2025 - 2030, the Party Committee of the Group requires the completion of the construction of a database of the Group's and its units' fields of operation. In particular, it is necessary to accelerate the completion of the digital ecosystem throughout the Group to promote the process of shifting business models, optimizing operating methods and improving operational management capacity.
