Prioritize clean production

A clear proof is that recently many new projects invested in Phong Dien Industrial Park (Phong Dien Ward) have committed to using high, modern technology in production, low emissions, ensuring a green, clean environment. Specifically, Dat Phuong Group recently started construction of the Super White Flower Glass Factory, with a scale of more than 12 hectares, an investment capital of 2,000 billion VND to invest in a modern European production line, using LNG fuel instead of coal, contributing to significantly reducing emissions into the environment. The factory is expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2027, with a capacity of 400 tons/day, equivalent to 19.2 million m2 of products/year; and will expand to 1,000 - 1,200 tons/day in phase 2.

Also on this occasion at Phong Dien Industrial Park, Creanza High-Tech Materials Joint Stock Company started construction of Creanza high-tech quartz sand processing factory with a scale of nearly 13 hectares, investment capital of 2,187 billion VND; designed capacity of 72,000 tons of cristobalite with 1.6 million m² of quartz stone/year, to meet the demand of domestic and foreign markets, especially the European and American markets... This project is expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2027, operating on an advanced technological line, all wastewater is treated and recirculated, minimizing discharge into the environment.

In early September, at Gilimex Industrial Park (Phu Bai Ward), EON Industry Vietnam helmet factory, phase 1, was put into operation with an area of ​​over 20,000m², total floor area of ​​over 41,000m², creating jobs for over 800 workers. The factory is invested with modern technology equipment, meeting green standards, safe for producers and consumers.

In addition, factories and companies in operation such as Scavi Hue, Hue Textile, Phenikaa Hue... have also gradually innovated technology, applied cleaner production models, saved energy and reused waste, creating models of green economic development.

The representative of the Management Board of the City Economic and Industrial Zones said that the above mentioned projects not only create economic value but also affirm the determination of local government leaders in building a clean industry. This is a steadfast goal not only to ensure the environment but also to open up opportunities for Hue City to deeply integrate into the global value chain.

Affirming clean industry

In the context of many international markets requiring green standards, products from enterprises and projects in Hue City will have a superior competitive advantage because they have invested in advanced equipment and production lines applying modern technology. In addition, the city has issued incentive mechanisms and policies to encourage enterprises to go green: Support loans for technological innovation, consulting on ISO environmental standards, developing renewable energy to both save costs and reduce CO₂ emissions.

In Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone (Chan May - Lang Co commune), in addition to the marine economic development strategy, this area is also planned to develop industry - seaport services according to the ecological model. This is not only a new economic development driving force but also a commitment of Hue to protect and preserve the environment, landscape and heritage. Therefore, investors and businesses invited to invest in Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone must invest in modern technology and equipment for green and clean production...; at the same time, gradually forming an ecosystem interwoven with production areas with housing for officials, workers and many cultural and social institutions...

In Phu Bai Industrial Park or Gilimex (Phu Bai Ward), phases 1, 2, 3 and 4 will prioritize investment in high-tech industries, clean industry, supporting industry, mechanics; supporting industry for the textile industry. In industrial parks such as Tu Ha, Phong Dien, La Son, Phu Da... priority will be given to attracting investment in industries and products according to the main functions of each industrial park...

The leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade informed that the political report presented to the 17th City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 recently proposed 6 key programs; including the industrial development program. Industrial development in this period must be breakthrough, creating a spearhead economy, choosing suitable industries with high economic value, in line with the trend of global integration development, such as automobile manufacturing and assembly industry; construction materials industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles... In addition, priority is given to the development of digital technology industry, semiconductor industry, supporting industry...

Hue City strives to have over 70% of businesses applying the clean production model by 2030. This figure shows that Hue City is strongly determined to form a clean industry, not trading off the environment for economic growth.
