On the morning of November 1, the University of Finance and Marketing (UFM) held the 25D Opening Ceremony - academic year 2025 - 2029 and welcomed 6,268 new full-time students to officially enter the university.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Tien Dat - Party Committee Secretary - School Principal - congratulated the new students of the 25D course, and emphasized the strategic orientation of UFM in the 2025 - 2026 school year: "Highly focused on promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of science and technology, innovation and discipline so that UFM students can firmly take the lead and make spectacular breakthroughs in the era of strong and sustainable development of the Vietnamese nation".
During the program, the school announced the decision to recognize 6,268 full-time students enrolling in 2025, and at the same time rewarded 4 students with the title of valedictorian, 4 students with the title of salutatorian, and awarded talent scholarships to 61 students with high scores in the 2025 full-time university entrance exam, with a total reward of 1.497 billion VND.
In particular, the school has decided to grant 29 "UFM's Support to School in 2025" scholarships, with 100% tuition fees awarded to new students in difficult circumstances, with a total scholarship value of 855 million VND.
At the same time, UFM is honored to receive the companionship and support of domestic and foreign organizations, businesses and partners with a total sponsorship value of up to 7.9 billion VND, including 684.5 million VND in scholarships and more than 7.2 billion VND in goods, software and English courses for students.
In addition, UFM also received great support from partners, businesses, organizations and individuals. Instead of congratulatory flower baskets, partners converted them into funds to support the people of the Central region affected by storms and floods, with a total amount of 23.5 million VND.
All donations will be transferred by the school to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support people in provinces suffering heavy losses due to natural disasters, contributing to spreading the humane message of "Mutual love - Sharing with the community".
At the ceremony, Mr. Le Tan Can - Deputy Minister of Finance - gave a congratulatory speech, praising the achievements of the University of Finance - Marketing in training high-quality human resources for the financial sector, and emphasized the role of UFM in connecting training and practice, knowledge and global economic integration.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc - Deputy Minister of Education and Training - also sent his congratulations to teachers and all students working and studying at UFM. The Deputy Minister highly appreciated the efforts in digital transformation, innovation in teaching methods and strengthening international cooperation, towards the goal of building a dynamic, creative and effective educational environment.
