At approximately 7:20 PM on February 16th (the 29th day of the Lunar New Year), the SE3 train carrying hundreds of passengers departed from Hanoi station , beginning its nearly 1,700 km journey to Ho Chi Minh City.

The train, carrying mostly international tourists eager to experience the Lunar New Year atmosphere on its journey south, is expected to arrive at its final station in Ho Chi Minh City around noon on the second day of the Lunar New Year.
