The Cisco 8223 routing system enables seamless deployment of a “scale-across” architecture connecting AI clusters across multiple data centers using the Silicon One P200 chip.

Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO) today announced the Cisco 8223, an industry-first, advanced routing system designed to efficiently and securely connect data centers and power the next generation of artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. As AI adoption accelerates, data centers face explosive demand, energy constraints, and increasingly complex security threats.

The Cisco 8223 was developed to meet these challenges – a 51.2 terabit per second (Tbps) fixed Ethernet router built to handle intense AI traffic between data centers. Cisco also announced its latest Silicon One initiative – the P200 chip, integrated at the core of the 8223. The combination of these two breakthrough technologies helps enterprises eliminate performance bottlenecks and prepare their network infrastructure for the AI ​​era.
