In the second leg of the round of 16, held on the evening of February 18th in Singapore, CAHN Club lost to Tampines Rovers (Singapore) 1-6. However, in the first leg, CAHN Club was handed a 0-3 defeat. Overall, the V-League representative team lost 1-6.
Interestingly, CAHN FC had previously beaten Tampines Rovers 4-0 in the first leg, but they were handed a 0-3 defeat because two players, Stefan Mauk and Rogerio Alves China, were ineligible to play in that match, yet they still took to the field.

Stefan Mauk and Rogerio Alves China received three yellow cards in three different group stage matches, resulting in their suspension for the first leg of the round of 16.
However, the AFC did not directly inform CAHN Club; instead, they left it to the teams participating in the AFC Champions League 2025-2026 to conduct the checks themselves. CAHN Club did not detect this and inadvertently used Stefan Mauk and Rogerio Alves China.
After being eliminated, CAHN's coach Mano Polking exclaimed: "I don't want to blame anyone, but the fact that our victory in the first leg was disallowed, followed by a forfeit loss, changed the dynamics of the round of 16 match. We went from being 4 goals ahead to having to chase a 4-goal deficit."

"That had a huge impact on the morale of the CAHN club players. We went into the match with great determination, accepting the risks, but playing with fewer players caused all our plans to fall apart."
"At this level, playing with only 10 men against any opponent, especially when that opponent has a psychological advantage, is extremely disadvantageous," coach Mano Polking continued.
After being eliminated from the 2025-2026 AFC Cup, CAHN Club is no longer participating in international competitions this season; their only remaining goals are in the domestic league.
Despite the heartbreaking defeat, coach Mano Polking still offered words of encouragement to his players: "My players still deserve encouragement; they tried until the very last minute, even when everything seemed to be against us."
"Today's result is painful for us, but it's a big lesson for us, both professionally and in understanding the rules of the tournament. Football can be very cruel sometimes," said coach Mano Polking.
