Starting with a 4-3-3 formation, Hanoi FC players made no secret of their intention to play offensively right from the opening whistle of referee Nguyen Duy Lan. The capital city team proactively controlled the game and continuously organized attacking situations on both flanks to put pressure on the defense of Thep Xanh Nam Dinh.

The home team's pressure quickly paid off when Hanoi FC was awarded a penalty after a VAR review in the 8th minute. From the penalty spot, Hoang Hen successfully converted, opening the scoring for the capital city team.

After conceding a goal, Nam Dinh pushed their attack forward in search of an equalizer. The visiting team continuously put pressure on goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan's goal. However, the concentration of the defense and crucial saves helped the home team at Hang Day Stadium maintain their advantage in the first half.

In the second half, Nam Dinh Green Steel quickly found an equalizer. In the 48th minute, after a powerful free kick from Nguyen Xuan Son, Lam Ti Phong rushed in and accurately struck the rebound, leveling the score at 1-1 for the Nam Dinh team. This was a well-deserved reward for the attacking efforts of coach Vu Hong Viet's team.

In the following minutes, Hanoi FC, with the enthusiastic support of the home crowd, continuously pressed their opponents, creating many dangerous situations in front of goalkeeper Tran Nguyen Manh's goal, but were unable to successfully capitalize on the opportunities.

In the 67th minute, Nam Dinh suffered a major setback when goalkeeper Nguyen Manh sustained an injury, forcing coach Vu Hong Viet to make an unexpected substitution. Taking advantage of their superior possession and the immense pressure from the stands at Hang Day Stadium, Hanoi continued to push forward in search of a decisive goal. In the 74th minute, from an attack down the right wing, Hoang Hen delivered a perfect cross for Passira to leap and head the ball into the net, giving the home team a 2-1 lead.

For the remainder of the match, Nam Dinh tried to push forward in an attempt to find an equalizer. However, the focused defense helped Hanoi FC maintain their advantage, ultimately securing a crucial victory against Coach Vu Hong Viet's team.

In the earlier match, Becamex TP.HCM suffered a narrow 0-1 defeat against Song Lam Nghe An, thus continuing to face significant pressure in the relegation battle as they are only 1 point ahead of Da Nang and 3 points ahead of PVF-CAND.

Meanwhile, at Ha Tinh Stadium, the home team Hong Linh Ha Tinh pulled off a surprise by holding the newly crowned V.League champions CAHN to a 1-1 draw in the match played at the same time.
