Thai club officially acquires the tallest girl in Vietnamese volleyball.

Volleytrail is one of the leading and most reputable websites in the world of volleyball. And on the evening of February 18th, Volleytrail announced that the Thai club Nakhon Ratchasima had officially signed a contract with Ly Thi Luyen.

Before Volleytrail reported the news, the organizers of the Thai Volleyball Championship had already included Ly Thi Luyen in the list of Nakhon Ratchasima athletes registered to participate in the second half of the season.

Therefore, although Duc Giang Chemical Company - where Ly Thi Luyen is employed - has not yet made an official announcement, the deal for Nakhon Ratchasima to loan the tallest middle blocker in Vietnamese volleyball is considered to have officially taken place.

Ly Thi Luyen, 26 years old and playing as an outside hitter, is famous for her incredibly impressive height.

The girl from Hung Yen is 1.95m tall, slightly taller than Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (1.93m) - the number one star of Vietnamese women's volleyball for the past decade.

Ly Thi Luyen was a key player who helped Duc Giang Chemical join the top teams in the Vietnamese Championship. As for the Vietnamese national team, she also contributed to their victory in the AVC Challenge Cup 2023.

Over the past two years, Ly Thi Luyen's performance has somewhat declined, causing her to miss out on a ticket to the 33rd SEA Games. Because of this, she has decided to go abroad at the end of 2025 in the hope of reviving her career.

In late 2025 and early 2026, Ly Thi Luyen shone brightly in the colors of the Mongolian club Hobby Ace. She played a major role in helping the team rise from 5th to 2nd place in the national championship.

Thanks to his impressive performance, the nearly 2-meter-tall player from Duc Giang Chemical received a lot of attention from foreign teams.

According to the sports website Pantip, Ly Thi Luyen will play for Nakhon Ratchasima on loan for the second half of the 2025-2026 season.

With six championships, Nakhon Ratchasima is the most successful team in the Thai Women's Volleyball Championship. This season, they are also fiercely competing for the top spot.
