CLIP: Unique duck catching contest during flood season in An Giang

(NLDO) - For the first time, the People's Committee of My Thoi ward, An Giang province organized folk games during the flood season with many exciting activities.

On November 14, the People's Committee of My Thoi ward, An Giang province organized the opening ceremony of the first folk game of the flood season in 2025.

With the theme "Folk games in the flood season", the festival creates a healthy playground, physical training; at the same time, connects people through collective activities, contributing to health training and improving achievements, promoting local cultural, physical education and sports movements.

The festival took place in an exciting and bustling atmosphere with many unique activities typical of the river region, attracting thousands of locals and tourists to participate, cheer, have fun and experience.

Games such as banana trunk racing, tug of war, pot smashing... create attraction for participants of all ages. In particular, the highlight of the festival is the duck catching game in the flood season. More than 70 athletes participated in this event, competing enthusiastically and attractively.

Mr. Tran Minh Duc, Secretary of the Party Committee of My Thoi ward, said that this is the first time the locality has organized folk games during the flood season.
