At an online conference with ambassadors and heads of Vietnamese representative offices abroad to summarize economic diplomacy in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026, the Chairman of CMC Technology Group proposed that Vietnam should proactively build and communicate an image of a "new Vietnam" to the world, associated with technological capabilities, aspirations for advancement, and the ability to cooperate in new fields such as AI.

Online conference with ambassadors and heads of Vietnamese representative offices abroad to review economic diplomacy in 2025 and implement tasks for 2026.
As the only technology company representative to speak at the conference, the Chairman of CMC stated that by 2025, the company aims for approximately 30% growth in international markets and a 34% increase in profits; a presence in 30 countries, and representative offices in over 10 countries. CMC has established a company in the US and is currently in the process of opening offices in key states such as Illinois, California, Texas, and Florida, while also preparing to expand into other key markets in 2026.
Based on his direct experience working with global clients and partners, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh believes that it is time for Vietnam to present to the world a "new Vietnam." Vietnam needs to be positioned as a reliable technology partner, capable of creating products, solutions, and knowledge value, and able to cooperate on an equal footing in high-tech fields, especially AI.
He argued that if the national image is properly positioned and consistently communicated, the initial level of trust that the international market has in Vietnamese businesses will be raised, and businesses will have the opportunity to participate in large, long-term projects at a higher value level, instead of being "stuck" in the role of subcontractors.
Following the guidance and direction of the Prime Minister, CMC's leadership also pointed out the "bottlenecks" that Vietnamese technology companies often face when expanding into international markets. Prominent among these are barriers related to standards and compliance; a lack of a comprehensive support ecosystem in terms of legal, financial, human resources, and risk insurance; and especially limitations in national branding in the high-tech sector… which have slowed down many cooperation opportunities, even though the technical capabilities of Vietnamese businesses are approaching international standards.
Based on his experience accompanying high-level delegations and interacting with many leading global technology corporations, Mr. Nguyen Trung Chinh believes that international cooperation in the coming period needs to go beyond training. Vietnam needs to strongly promote technology transfer, joint research, co-development of products, and commercialization, thereby helping domestic businesses truly "stand on the same stage" with the global value chain.

CMC Chairman proposes building a new image of Vietnam for the world.
The central focus of the CMC Chairman's presentation was the proposal to build a "brand identity" capable of operating, measuring effectiveness, and transforming into concrete market opportunities for businesses. This brand identity needs to answer three core questions: How does Vietnam want to be perceived by the world in the technological era? What standards does Vietnam commit to in order to build trust with international partners? What cooperation models is Vietnam ready to adopt to jointly create new value?
To ensure the program is effective, CMC leaders proposed several courses of action:
Develop a consistent national message about technological capabilities: emphasize that Vietnam is a dynamic nation with strong technological capabilities; affirm its position as a global partner in strategic technology fields such as AI.
Expanding training cooperation to technology transfer cooperation: The government needs to guide and encourage cooperation models that shift from human resource training to joint research, development, and technology transfer, in order to build core technological capabilities and promote the "Make in Vietnam" strategy.
Strengthening connections with strategic technology partners: The government needs to support and play a bridging role in connecting Vietnamese businesses with leading global technology corporations (such as NVIDIA, AWS, and Microsoft). This will create opportunities for domestic businesses to expand their international cooperation prospects.
Concluding the presentation, the Chairman of CMC affirmed that the company will continue to pursue its goal of becoming a global company with a focus on AI and AI transformation, working alongside Vietnamese representative agencies and international partners to contribute to enhancing Vietnam's position on the world technology map.
