According to Supreme People's Procuratorate Chief Prosecutor Nguyen Huy Tien, in implementing the policy of streamlining the organizational structure, the Supreme People's Procuratorate has promptly reorganized, consolidated, and reduced the number of units, reducing the number of People's Procuratorates from four levels to three levels (supreme, provincial, and regional), and selecting and appointing leaders and managers for People's Procuratorates at all levels.

The entire sector has reduced 907 management units and 2,357 leadership and management positions (907 heads and 1,450 deputies).

To continue ensuring smooth and effective operation, improving the quality of prosecution, and meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation, the Supreme People's Procuracy strictly adheres to and implements the directive of General Secretary To Lam at the 65th anniversary of the ngành's traditional day: " The People's Procuracy - where justice is served, the law is supreme, and the people's trust is strengthened - is one of the pillars protecting justice in the socialist rule of law state ."

The Supreme People's Procuratorate has directed the entire sector to continue improving the quality of exercising the power of prosecution and supervising judicial activities, strictly controlling judicial power, ensuring more proactive prosecution, and linking prosecution with investigation activities.

Criminal prosecution must be based on legitimate, complete, and objective evidence; and prosecutors' litigation capacity, courage, skills, and persuasiveness must be enhanced.

Mr. Tien emphasized the consistent implementation of the policy of handling crimes strictly but in a humane and rehabilitative manner, avoiding the criminalization of civil, economic , and administrative relations, and vice versa. The investigative agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy needs to be strengthened with robust, comprehensive, professional, and modern capabilities, contributing to ensuring the integrity of the judicial system.

Prosecutors need to be politically steadfast, morally upright, knowledgeable in law, skilled in their profession, and possess courage and professional integrity.

Chief Prosecutor Nguyen Huy Tien stated that the Procuracy sector emphasizes discipline and order, building and spreading a "Procuracy culture," and deeply internalizing President Ho Chi Minh's teachings to Procuracy officials: " fair, upright, objective, cautious, and humble ."

"The sector will effectively perform its functions of prosecution and judicial supervision, strengthen prevention and protection of public interests, and meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation," the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy added.

The Procuracy sector has identified its key breakthrough task in resolving criminal cases as the prosecution and supervision of the receipt and handling of information about crimes, especially for commune-level police. The sector also continues to strengthen prosecutorial responsibility in investigation activities according to the 4S requirements – “earlier , closer, deeper, sharper ” – to prevent wrongful convictions or the failure to prosecute criminals; to avoid criminalizing economic, civil, and administrative relations and vice versa; and to prioritize civil, economic, and administrative measures to remedy consequences before criminal prosecution, contributing to socio-economic development.

Furthermore, the sector focuses on proposing solutions and preventing crime in various fields; in classifying and handling criminal cases, it must ensure political, legal, and professional factors; and it resolutely eliminates any manifestations of indifference, irresponsibility, or the application of the law in a simplistic manner.

The Procuracy will coordinate the strict handling of cases under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption, Waste, and Negative Phenomena; complex and protracted cases that attract public attention; and cases that infringe upon national security and non-traditional security. The Procuracy will also coordinate with investigative agencies to review and resolve temporarily suspended cases, promptly resuming their resolution when the grounds for suspension no longer exist.

The investigative agency of the Supreme People's Procuracy needs to be strengthened with robust, comprehensive, professional, and modern capabilities. The team of investigators needs to be selected and trained to improve their skills in criminal investigation and electronic data collection.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien affirmed that the entire People's Procuracy sector identifies the task of protecting vulnerable people, protecting public interests, and continuing to prioritize breakthroughs in civil, administrative, and commercial supervision.

The sector has also reformed its judicial supervision work in accordance with the 4T requirements – “dedication , expertise, substance, and persuasiveness ”; developed specialized supervision plans, focusing on prominent, sensitive issues prone to violations or of public concern; promptly detected violations to make recommendations, appeals, and conduct follow-up reviews of issued recommendations.
