In recent years, the Miss Universe Vietnam, Miss Grand Vietnam, Miss World Vietnam, Miss Ocean Vietnam contests have all organized national costume design contests and environmental fashion design contests , creating an interesting playground for young designers and fashion design enthusiasts.
Bui The Bao thanks to Stilts
Designer Bui The Bao said he has loved drawing since he was a child. In secondary school, he would draw fashion designs on his notebooks every day and then give them to his friends.
In high school, The Bao decided to study fashion design.
"However, I stopped studying after my second year because of my family's financial difficulties. I switched to business" - The Bao shared.
It was the national costume design competition that brought him back to fashion. The competition helped him gain experience in the profession and meet many famous designers.
"I am excited and looking forward to costume design competitions. Through this, I want to learn many ways to handle unique costumes and come up with many unique ideas."
Bui The Bao's "Stilts" costume was chosen by runner-up Le Nguyen Ngoc Hang to compete in Miss Intercontinental 2023 .

Designer Nguyen Le Vinh Tuong won the national cultural costume design contest within the framework of the Miss Grand Vietnam pageant with Vu Khuc Thien Long.

This outfit was chosen for Miss Le Hoang Phuong to compete at Miss Grand International 2023 recently.
"From the beginning, I didn't think I would win because there were many magnificent costumes with a lot of investment" - Vinh Tuong shared.
Although he graduated from the Animal Husbandry Engineering Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vinh Tuong still has a knack for fashion through national cultural costume design competitions.
There are also competitions that require designing recycled costumes and designing crowns to help young people be creative and learn a lot.
"I hope there will be more competitions to help young designers learn, unleash their creativity, and express their passion when they don't have the opportunity to study in the right environment" - Nguyen Le Vinh Tuong said.

Designer Viet Hung - judge of the national costume design contest - highly appreciated the contestants' ideas.
However, after the competition, if the love is not strong enough, you will be discouraged and stop. But those who are ambitious will not feel alone but will be supported to pursue their passion.
Designer Vo Viet Chung said that fashion design competitions always attract a large number of participants, bringing fresh colors with creative design drawings.
