Enhance skills and proactively prevent risks.
On January 21-22, the Ninh Binh Bear Conservation Center, in coordination with the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Force of the Ninh Binh Provincial Police, organized a training program and drill on fire prevention, fighting, and rescue plans for 2026, aiming to improve incident response capabilities and ensure the safety of people, animals, and facilities.

The training program focuses on equipping officers and staff with basic knowledge of fire prevention and rescue work; skills in handling situations when fires, explosions, and accidents occur; skills in using on-site firefighting equipment; and simultaneously enhancing the ability to coordinate quickly and effectively with local authorities.
In addition to theoretical content, trainees also directly participate in practical drills based on simulated scenarios closely resembling the specific conditions at the conservation facility. The plans are scientifically developed, ensuring safety while still fully reflecting the complexity of rescue operations in an environment with many flammable elements and the presence of wild animals.

The Ninh Binh Bear Conservation Center is located in Xam village, Phu Long commune, Ninh Binh province, about 8km from Cuc Phuong National Park. Covering nearly 10 hectares, the center currently cares for 46 sun bears and Asiatic black bears rescued from illegal trafficking or voluntarily handed over by their owners.
