A representative of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province said that since the beginning of March 2024, the number of tourists to Dien Bien has increased sharply.

In Dien Bien Phu City, there are six relics that are always crowded with visitors, including: Hill A1; Martyrs' Cemetery A1; Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum; Martyrs' Temple at Dien Bien Phu battlefield; General De Castries' Bunker and Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Headquarters in Muong Phang Commune.

Among them, the A1 Hill relic cluster, A1 Martyrs' Cemetery and Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum are the most popular tourist attractions.
In recent days, the number of tourists visiting these places alone is estimated at about 3,000 - 4,000 people per day.
Mr. Doan Van Chi - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, said that currently all motels and hotels in Dien Bien Phu city are fully booked.
However, Dien Bien Phu city can still welcome about 2,000 more people in a network of nearly 150 houses with spare rooms, meeting the conditions of security, order, fire prevention and fighting and technical facilities participating in providing services for guests staying at this time.

The list and information of households eligible to provide accommodation services are posted on mass media and social networking platforms to connect with guests in need of accommodation.

In addition, those who have their own means of transportation can choose to stay at motels and hotels in the towns of the gateway districts to Dien Bien Phu City such as Muong Cha, Muong Ang, Tuan Giao, etc.
