The Russian Military Review website reported that the Russian Armed Forces (RFAF) continued to fiercely attack the inner city of Pokrovsk, expanding the area of control in the north of the city. As of this morning, the RFAF assault groups had reached the northern outskirts of the city, in the Dinasovy settlement.

The assault units of the Central Army Group advanced from the Shmidta street in the north of the city, about one and a half kilometers from the Dinasovy settlement, and consolidated their positions on Molodezhnaya street, in the northern suburbs of Pokrovsk.

Thanks to these offensive operations, the Russians have further reduced the “air pocket” they established in the northern suburbs of Pokrovsk on the left flank (in the direction of the RFAF’s advance) and the forward units in the direction of the town of Rodinsky on the right flank. Currently, the Russians are consolidating their newly controlled positions.

“Russian assault units advanced 1.5 km into the Dinasovy Posyolok area and reached the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk. New positions were taken in residential areas under enemy fire,” the Military Review website said.

Rybar channel reports about the upcoming RFAF victory in Pokrovsk. Yesterday, after Kiev ignored Moscow's request to allow foreign journalists into the city and allow the Ukrainian defenders in Pokrovsk to lay down their weapons, the Russian troops began to destroy the Ukrainian group there.

The Military Summary channel said that the Ukrainian troops, initially operating in small groups, were said to have begun assembling northwest of the city to try to break the siege. But they did not expect to encounter a minefield when they tried to break through towards the village of Gryshyne.
7-6768.jpg
As a result, many Ukrainian soldiers who had just withdrawn from the city of Pokrovsk were trapped in a minefield near the Grishinka River. At this time, Russian FPV UAVs continuously appeared overhead and began attacking Ukrainian soldiers, either by crashing directly into them or dropping grenades from the air, causing serious casualties.

At the same time, Ukrainian troops were observed withdrawing from the Mirnohrad area, first to the Pokrovsk area, and then towards the same “chokepoint” (narrow corridor) that Russian forces had set up. Ukrainian reinforcements to the city also had to go through this way.
9-1568.jpg
However, Russia's extensive minelaying, carried out remotely, including bombing by FPV UAVs, is preventing this "desire" from becoming a reality. The Ukrainian military now suspects that this "bottleneck" was left by the Russians to destroy Ukrainian defenders trying to escape from Pokrovsk.
3-1389.jpg
Currently, RFAF UAVs, artillery, mortars, snipers are operating at positions throughout the Pokrovsk and Mirnohrad metropolitan areas. RVvoenkory reported that overnight, several streets and blocks of houses in this metropolitan area were under the control of the RFAF. The walls of the “boiler” were expanded, and the mouth of the “airbag” itself was narrowed.

Meanwhile, efforts to break the siege of the Ukrainian defense forces inside the city of Pokrovsk have not stopped. ZOV Military channel reported that fierce fighting continued in Pokrovsk and AFU attempts to rescue a group of soldiers trapped in the siege were unsuccessful.

Specifically, two UH-60 helicopters of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate (GUR) secretly landed the task force in the western suburbs of the city, near the industrial complex and the positions of the Moscow forces in Pokrovsk. Unfortunately, all the gunmen were eliminated by the RFAF.

According to AMK Mapping, based on geolocation data collected on Russian FPV UAV attacks on the GUR special forces group, along with further analysis of the footage, it is now possible to deduce where the Ukrainian soldiers broke into after being dropped by helicopter behind enemy lines.
10-3326.jpg
A group of 11 GUR commandos were dropped and divided into two groups. Five of them ran towards the edge of the forest next to the O0525 road and then towards the gas station on the edge of the industrial complex. Three were hit by a UAV after being trapped in the forest, and the two survivors tried to run to the gas station but were hit by another UAV while crossing the field.
10-8012.jpg
Six soldiers ran south from the landing site and split up as they approached the industrial area. Four ran southwest into the woods toward the substation, but three were picked off by the UAV. The fourth soldier escaped back to the edge of the woods before being also ambushed by the UAV while hiding under a tree.
16-6365.jpg
As for the remaining two soldiers in this group, they broke into the first building of the industrial complex and hid in a room on the ground floor. Three UAVs then flew in through the window, and two of them hit their targets.
17-4099.jpg
So, with all this information, it seems that all 11 GRU commandos who were sent to the rescue were either killed or injured in these UAV attacks. Evacuation of the survivors is highly unlikely, as they were behind RFAF lines, and they would most likely be captured.

Meanwhile, the commanders of the AFU units in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad continue to demand a withdrawal from the "cauldron" that is gradually closing, especially as the bottleneck has become increasingly narrow. However, President Zelensky believes that if he "gives in" now, the Ukrainian troops will leave other settlements en masse tomorrow. Therefore, the fate of the garrisons in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad has already been decided. (photo source Military Review, Ukrinform, Readovka).
