Also attending were Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy, Ninh Binh Provincial Party Secretary Doan Minh Huan, and Quang Ngai Provincial Party Secretary Bui Thi Quynh Van.
On the Ha Tinh side, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran The Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial National Assembly Delegation; former provincial leaders of different periods; representatives of departments, branches, sectors and localities.
The program also had the honor of welcoming the People's Armed Forces Heroes, relatives of 10 martyrs of the Dong Loc T-junction Youth Volunteers, historical witnesses, former Youth Volunteers, forces that participated in combat and served in combat at Dong Loc T-junction, and many people of the province.
In his opening speech, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung reviewed the heroic history of the resistance war against the US to save the country at the legendary Dong Loc T-junction. He also affirmed that the sacrifice of 10 female Youth Volunteers, the self-sacrifice of officers, soldiers and people of all forces at the Dong Loc battlefield; the spirit of "no regrets for the house, no regrets for the car" of Village K130 and the feats of the 8th Air Defense Battalion of the local army and the immortal landmarks are beautiful symbols of revolutionary heroism, expressing the desire for peace of every Vietnamese citizen, demonstrating the Party's will and the people's hearts, encouraging our entire army and people to defeat the invaders.
The Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee emphasized that, promoting the rich culture and glorious revolutionary tradition of the homeland, in the renovation process, the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh have strived to overcome all difficulties and constantly strive for development. Dong Loc T-junction, K130 Village and other places that were fiercely attacked in the past have now become prosperous countrysides, red addresses for educating revolutionary ideals, fostering national pride for generations, urging the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh to be determined to achieve high results in all fields.
On this occasion, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Ha Tinh, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Trung Dung respectfully thanked the effective attention and support of the Central Party Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, the Fatherland Front, the central departments, ministries, branches, mass organizations, provinces, cities, international organizations and people nationwide for Ha Tinh province; thanked the organizations and individuals who always turned to the landmarks in Ha Tinh and the Dong Loc T-junction relic site with noble gestures; thanked Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for annually accompanying Ha Tinh province in organizing the program to pay tribute to heroic martyrs.
Speaking at the program, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that during the resistance war against the US to save the country, Ha Tinh was both the rear base of the great front line in the South and the front line of the great rear base in the North. With its special geographical location, being an important "traffic chokepoint" on the vital Truong Son road, Dong Loc T-junction became a strategic battle point, where the confrontation between the indomitable will of our army and people and the destructive power of modern weapons of war of the invading imperialists took place.
Tens of thousands of cadres, soldiers, youth volunteers and other forces were intelligent, creative, resilient, both fighting and opening the way to support the southern battlefield. That fierce war took away thousands of the country's best children, especially the heroic sacrifice of 10 female Youth Volunteers, only 18 or 20 years old, of Squad 4, Company 552, who were the embodiment of the heroic and indomitable tradition of Vietnamese women, creating a legendary Dong Loc, the pinnacle of the People's War.
The sacrifices of you, of the 10 heroic flowers at Dong Loc T-junction, together with the bloody exploits of heroes and martyrs from all over the country and the patriotism and wholehearted devotion to the Party and the revolution of our people have created glorious feats, so that many names and places on this S-shaped land have become historical revolutionary relics, so that future generations will always remember, be grateful and continue.
Promoting the glorious revolutionary tradition of the homeland, Ha Tinh is making strong changes. From a province with many difficulties and a low starting point, Ha Tinh has risen to be among the leading provinces in the North Central region. This is also a practical way to show gratitude to the contributions of those who went before and meet the expectations of the people.
The Vice President hopes that in the coming time, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Ha Tinh province will continue to do a better job of "repaying gratitude", taking care of people who have contributed to the revolution; investing in developing old battlefields and difficult areas. Continuing to promote the cultural, heroic and revolutionary traditions of the homeland, arousing the will and aspirations of the people of Ha Tinh; continuing to write miracles of Hong Mountain - La River in the new era.
The Vice President also highly appreciated Nhan Dan Newspaper for initiating and persistently organizing many social activities of profound humanistic significance, aiming to arouse and revive historical events of the nation, in which the Art Program "Dong Loc Sacred Land" is a practical activity demonstrating the nation's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", the sentiment and responsibility of today's generation to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The Vice President believes that today's young generation will continue to write the glorious pages of the Ho Chi Minh era, contributing to realizing the aspiration of building a prosperous and happy Vietnam.
The art program "Sacred Land of Dong Loc - Connecting the Thousand-Year Line" aims to review the heroic tradition, the heroic fighting and sacrifice of the forces on the Dong Loc battlefield; at the same time, express deep gratitude for the great contributions of the heroes, martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, former Youth Volunteers, frontline laborers, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, families of martyrs, families with meritorious services to the revolution, cadres, soldiers and people who fought, contributed and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland.
The program consists of 3 chapters: "The car has not passed the house, no regret"; "Blood can be shed, the road cannot be blocked"; "The new road is vast". In which, chapter I recreates the feat of Village K130 with the heroic song "The car has not passed, the house is no regret"; chapter II is stories about a heroic fighting time, about the sacrifice of 10 female Youth Volunteers at Dong Loc T-junction; chapter III is the image of Ha Tinh entering the period of innovation with all classes of people enthusiastically working, increasing production, joining hands to build and develop their homeland.
Elaborately staged with plays, songs, and unique, touching dances performed by hundreds of professional and non-professional artists, singers, and actors from across the country, the program left many emotions and deep impressions in the hearts of the audience, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions and cultural traditions for all classes of people.
