Figures from the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) show that in the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam's pangasius exports reached nearly 1.6 billion USD, up 9% over the same period in 2024, marking a positive sign of recovery after a prolonged period of decline.
The market is showing clear changes, with CPTPP regions, Brazil and Thailand rising strongly while China - Hong Kong and the United States are slowing down.

Faced with such fluctuations, the role of leading enterprises such as Vinh Hoan Joint Stock Company becomes even more important, both maintaining growth momentum and raising the brand of Vietnamese pangasius in the international market.
Mr. Vo Phu Duc, Director of Vinh Hoan Collagen Joint Stock Company, said: "Vinh Hoan is currently one of the leading enterprises in the Vietnamese pangasius industry, with stable export products to many major markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan and Korea."
As a pioneer in the closed production model, Vinh Hoan controls the entire value chain from farming, processing, exporting to producing fishmeal and fish oil. Thanks to that, the company's revenue maintains stable growth, reaching 300-400 million USD per year.
In addition to traditional products such as pangasius fillet or processed, breaded pangasius..., Vinh Hoan has recently expanded to the high-end segment, with products being welcomed by the Japanese market and served at sushi restaurants - a milestone affirming the quality and reputation of Vietnamese pangasius.
At the same time, Vinh Hoan promotes the development of value-added product lines such as collagen peptide and gelatin from pangasius skin - a significant breakthrough, helping to increase the value of by-products by 4-5 times, while opening up a new direction for the pangasius industry.
As a pangasius producer with large output and self-sufficient raw materials, Vinh Hoan maintains a stable collagen production capacity thanks to a closed farm system of 760 hectares, processing 1,000 tons of raw materials per day, 100% of which are ASC, 4-star BAP and GlobalGAP certified.
Mr. Duc estimates that utilizing by-products can increase the value of Vinh Hoan’s entire pangasius farming and processing chain by 15-25%. In addition, compared to collagen products extracted from other types of leather, such as cowhide, pigskin, etc., marine fish skin has high absorption, good biological capacity, and low risk of disease transmission.
In particular, this product has no religious barriers, especially in areas with Muslim populations, so the market is very large. Meanwhile, Vinh Hoan is exporting 100% of its products and its current customer base includes many large customers with high potential for expansion.

Mr. Duc emphasized: “Despite facing many difficulties in exporting such as seasonal price fluctuations or technical barriers from import markets, these value-added products have helped Vinh Hoan optimize the entire production chain, increase the value of the industry, thereby increasing the competitiveness of Vietnamese products in regional and world markets, keeping pangasius always maintaining its advantage when exporting.”
Sustainable development thinking is also the foundation for Vinh Hoan to expand into the green manufacturing sector. The company is a pioneer in the circular economy , utilizing by-products to produce fertilizers, reducing emissions and creating a stable supply for the market. At the same time, the company also implements energy-saving projects such as installing solar panels, energy auditing and optimizing production costs - solutions that demonstrate a strong commitment to green growth and sustainable development.
