The sand dune stretches for over 100 meters and is about 50 meters wide, attracting many locals and tourists who come to admire and take pictures.
According to observations, the sandbar had appeared several days prior but only recently became clearly visible when the weather stabilized and the tide receded. Local residents say this is the first time such a large sandbar has appeared in the central Nha Trang beach area. In previous years, there were also small sandbanks, but they were quickly eroded by the waves.

Mr. Dam Hai Van, Director of the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, said that the sand dunes were created by the amount of soil and sand flowing from the upstream of the Cai River after floods, combined with waves and wind, depositing it in the area where the river and the sea meet.
The Management Board is monitoring the situation to propose appropriate solutions.
This unusual phenomenon has attracted many people to experience it, becoming a temporary "check-in" spot right in the heart of the tourist city.
However, the appearance of large sandbars in the estuary area could make it difficult for ships to pass through, especially before a final assessment is made by the authorities.
