Specifically, the unit proactively implemented a comprehensive set of measures to ensure security and order; prevent and combat violations of laws regarding weapons, explosives, support tools, and firecrackers. The unit mobilized maximum personnel and resources, coordinating closely with police units and localities to organize patrols and inspections in key areas, crowded places, fireworks display locations, central streets, entertainment areas, and other areas with potential security and order risks.

In particular, 26 task forces with more than 100 officers and soldiers were established to coordinate with the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order ( Ministry of Public Security ) to ensure security and order on New Year's Eve.
The task forces are operating under the principle of proactive prevention, early detection, and timely handling; focusing on inspecting and handling violations related to the management and use of weapons, explosives, support tools, and fireworks; preventing public disorder, illegal racing, and the use of fireworks in violation of regulations.
In parallel with patrol and control activities, the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order also directed special task forces to strengthen inspections of businesses with security and order requirements such as accommodation establishments, karaoke bars, bars, night-time entertainment services, and other establishments prone to legal violations.
Through inspections, authorities promptly detected and rectified shortcomings in management; strictly handled violations in accordance with the law, and required establishments to sign commitments to strictly comply with regulations on security and order during the Tet holiday.
All task forces maintained 100% on-call and standby personnel, ready to handle any arising situations, avoiding passivity and surprises; ensuring stable security and order in the city on New Year's Eve, preventing complex incidents, and serving the people so they could celebrate the spring festival and welcome the new year safely.
