The Buon Ma Thuot Ward Police Station was established by merging six commune/ward-level police units, with expanded functions, duties, and scale. 2025 also marks the final year of the first phase of implementing the State's overall administrative reform program for the period 2021-2030 within the People's Police.

Following the directives of higher authorities, the ward police force focused on leading and directing the entire force to make efforts, overcome difficulties, proactively adapt, and organize the implementation of combat reform tasks, meeting the requirements of the new situation.
Accordingly, the unit has advised the local Party committee and government on effectively implementing security and order maintenance work in conjunction with administrative reform; coordinated the organization of propaganda at schools and residential areas; provided adequate facilities at the "One-Stop" service center; publicly displayed 100% of administrative procedures under its authority; and ensured that 100% of administrative procedure dossiers were processed and results returned on time or ahead of schedule, with the motto "Work until the job is done, not until the clock runs out." With over 95% of organizations and individuals satisfied with the handling of administrative procedures, the Buon Ma Thuot Ward Police Station was rated "Excellent" by the Provincial Police in 2025.
2026 marks the first year of Phase 2 of the overall State administrative reform program for the period 2021-2030 within the People's Public Security force; it is the year in which the Public Security sector will decisively "transform" from a "traditional" working environment to an "electronic" environment, meeting the requirements of the new era, the era of national progress.
The ward police proposed specific solutions in each area, promoting administrative procedure reform associated with digital transformation and effectively implementing Government Decree 06; carrying out administrative reform work in conjunction with the "Three Best" emulation movement, taking people's satisfaction as the overarching goal, striving to successfully complete key and breakthrough tasks in 2026, aiming for substantive and effective administrative reform.

At the conference, the Ward Police Department implemented the emulation plan for administrative reform "Community Police Officers Serving the People in Residential Areas - Serving the People"; signed an emulation agreement on promoting administrative reform and launched the competition "Finding Ideas and Initiatives for Administrative Reform associated with Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Ward Police Departments".
