On the morning of November 17, the Commander of Traffic Police Team No. 3 (Traffic Police Department of Hanoi Police) said that the unit is coordinating with the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam Ward Police to search for the truck that spilled mud onto Ton Duc Thang Street.
Previously, late on November 16, a series of motorcyclists fell onto the road because of the thick layer of mud at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang - Nguyen Thai Hoc (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward).
At the scene, the road surface was covered in dark brown mud, the mud stains spread over a stretch of road about 15m long. People at the scene also said that because it was dark and the area had many trees blocking the lights, many motorcyclists could not handle it in time and fell onto the road.
"At that time, I saw a truck passing by and turning onto Nguyen Thai Hoc street, then mud from behind the truck poured onto the street," said Mr. C., a witness at the scene.

Upon receiving the news, Traffic Police Team No. 3 sent officers and soldiers to the scene to handle the accident and placed warnings for traffic participants to avoid slippery areas.
"Officers and soldiers of the team are checking cameras on the road to collect images and license plates of the truck that spilled mud on the road," informed the Commander of Traffic Police Team No. 3.
