Van Ban Commune Police worked through the night to repair the landslide, ensuring safety for the people.

On the night of September 14 and early morning of September 15, 2025, due to the influence of prolonged heavy rain, at Km 108+200, National Highway 279, in Na Trang village, Van Ban commune, Lao Cai province, a landslide occurred, causing a large amount of soil and trees to fall across the road, blocking traffic.

Immediately upon receiving the information, Van Ban Commune Police mobilized forces to the scene, promptly set up ropes, put up temporary signs, turned on remote warning lights to direct traffic, and instructed people and vehicles not to move through the dangerous area.

In addition, Van Ban Commune Police mobilized additional forces to protect security and order at the grassroots level, coordinated with the people to clear and remove trees from the roadway; combined with the contractor of National Highway 279, Dong Duong Company, mobilized excavators, cleared rocks and soil, and cleaned the road surface.

Large amounts of rock and soil, bamboo bushes and many large trees slid down the road, paralyzing traffic.

The Commune Police force and the people quickly handled the fallen large trees and bamboo bushes.

The contractor of National Highway 279 and Dong Duong Company quickly handled the landslides to ensure smooth traffic.

Thanks to the quick intervention of the police force and the people, by 00:20 on September 15, 2025, vehicles were able to move safely.
