Announcing the Prime Minister's decision to convert the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security

At the ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Public Security announced the decisions on converting the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security into the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology. Accordingly, on October 17, 2025, the Prime Minister issued a decision on converting the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security into the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

On November 9, 2025, the Ministry of Public Security issued a decision on converting the University of Engineering and Logistics into the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology ; the Standing Committee of the Central Public Security Party Committee also issued a decision to convert the Party Committee of the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security into the Party Committee of the Academy of Security Engineering and Technology.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized that the transformation of the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security into the Academy of Engineering and Security Technology is an important milestone, a turning point, demonstrating the strategic vision and determination of the Party, the State, the Central Public Security Party Committee, and the Ministry of Public Security in building the academy into a worthy training center for science, technology, and security technology, meeting the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

According to Minister Luong Tam Quang, the current situation requires the urgent need to quickly build within the People's Public Security a center for scientific and technological research and training of high-quality human resources in the security industry on par with the region.

Based on careful consideration and assessment, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security decided to upgrade and build the University of Engineering and Logistics of the People's Public Security to become a place to train human resources to ensure digital sovereignty, network security, data security, and information security not only in the People's Public Security but also in the political system, effectively serving the development of the country's strategic industries and technologies.

Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the school's leadership team should unify their awareness of the glorious and honorable responsibility of the academy in the country's new revolutionary period. Each leader, commander, cadre and lecturer of the school, with a new mindset and spirit, must be dedicated, devoted, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, dare to break through creatively, overcome all difficulties, join hands to build the academy to soon reach the scale and stature, with the capacity to meet the expectations of the Party, the State and the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security.
