Announcement of retirement decision according to the regime with Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced the retirement decision of Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien, recognizing 36 years of dedication and important contributions to the industry.

On December 2, authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang presented the retirement decision and flowers to congratulate Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien.

Attending the Decision Awarding Ceremony were Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien, Deputy Minister Nguyen Quoc Tri, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh and leaders of units under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Personnel Organization, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment announced Decision No. 1884/QD-TTg dated September 3, 2025 of the Prime Minister . Accordingly, Mr. Tran Quy Kien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment, will retire from December 1, 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony to congratulate Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien, on behalf of the Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry, officials, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, Minister Tran Duc Thang acknowledged and highly appreciated the dedication and contributions of comrade Tran Quy Kien to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in particular and the Agriculture and Environment sector in general.

Minister Tran Duc Thang emphasized that comrade Tran Quy Kien has devoted 36 years to the Agriculture and Environment sector through different periods, from the role of an excellent cadre to many years as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment. Throughout his work, he has always fulfilled his assigned duties and tasks as well as the responsibilities of the person assigned by the Ministry's leaders to be in charge of affiliated units.

In particular, Minister Tran Duc Thang emphasized that Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien has made many important contributions to the Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Ministry and the Ministry's leadership in directing and perfecting institutions and policies on geology, minerals, seas and islands. He participated in summarizing many major resolutions of the Central Committee and the Politburo; advised on the issuance of Resolution 36 on the Strategy for sustainable development of the marine economy; Resolution 10 on strategic orientation of geology and minerals; at the same time directed the development and submission for approval of the Law on Geology and Minerals in 2024 and related amended laws; advised the Prime Minister to issue Decision 90/QD-TTg on the National Natural Resources and Environmental Monitoring Network Planning.

Besides, comrade Tran Quy Kien also always shows responsibility and affection to his colleagues, being exemplary in work and in life. He has contributed to building the Agriculture and Environment sector to unite, creating strength to overcome challenges and complete the tasks assigned by the Party and the State.

The Minister respectfully thanks Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien for his contributions to the industry's career and for guiding generations of young cadres to continue writing the history of the development of the Agriculture and Environment sector. At the same time, the Minister hopes that in the future, Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien will still remember the Agriculture and Environment sector as his home and continue to care, support and help the incumbent comrades to complete their tasks.

Expressing his emotions, Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien reviewed his working process at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment before and now the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment with many memories in work and in life. The Deputy Minister sincerely thanked the leaders of the Ministry and all the cadres, civil servants and public employees of the units under and directly under the Ministry for their coordination and support during his working process at the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Tran Quy Kien also sent his best wishes to the leaders of the Ministry, officials, civil servants and public employees of the Agriculture and Environment sector and affirmed that although he has retired according to the regime, he still always looks towards the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Agriculture and Environment sector and always gives the sector attention and help in implementing work and professional tasks.
