Check the status of your temporary travel ban due to tax arrears on the Tax Department's website.
To check if you are subject to a temporary travel ban due to outstanding tax debts, please follow these steps:
- Access the website of the Tax Department (under the Ministry of Finance ) here.
- On the website interface that appears, simply fill in the information including your personal tax identification number, document number (ID card number), name of the individual taxpayer, then enter the verification code and click the "Search" button.
From July 1st, 2025, citizens can use their personal identification number, the 12-digit number printed on their Citizen Identity Card (CCCD), instead of their tax identification number in all tax-related activities for individuals, households, and businesses. Therefore, in the "Personal Tax Identification Number" section, you can enter your CCCD number to look it up.

If, after clicking the "Search" button, the result returns "No matching results found," it means you are not subject to a temporary travel ban due to tax arrears.
Conversely, if results are displayed, you can click the "View details" button to see the reason for the temporary suspension of your departure.
Check your status regarding temporary travel bans due to tax arrears through the eTax Mobile app.
eTax Mobile is an application developed by the General Department of Taxation, allowing users to check if they have any unpaid or overdue taxes, such as personal income tax, property tax, and business tax.
Users can follow these steps to check if they are among those whose departure is being delayed due to tax debt through the eTax Mobile app.
- Activate the eTax Mobile app on your smartphone and log in to your account. On the app's main interface, scroll down and tap on the "Check notifications" function.

On the screen that appears, click the "Advanced" button, then select "All" under "Notification Categories".

In the "Notifications" section that appears, type the keyword "postponement" into the search box, then select "Notification of temporary postponement of departure form 01/XC" from the search results.

Then click the "Search" button on the search interface. If you see the message "No data found," it means you are not on the list of people whose departure has been temporarily suspended due to unpaid taxes.
Conversely, if a notification appears, users can click on "View Details" to find out the reason why their departure is being temporarily suspended.
