BIDV Trade Union successfully organized its 7th Congress of Delegates.

The 7th BIDV Trade Union Congress was successfully held, ushering in the 2025-2030 term with high expectations for innovation and sustainable development.

The congress was attended by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; and Mr. Nguyen Khanh Chi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union. On December 5, 2025, the BIDV Trade Union held a conference to implement the work of the Trade Union Congress; elect the Presidium, the Secretariat, the Credentials Committee, and the Vote Counting Committee; approve the program and working regulations, and disseminate the election regulations; report on the results of the delegate credentials verification, the results of the grassroots Trade Union Congress, and the review report of the BIDV Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term; report on the summary of contributions to the documents of the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union and the draft Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; and approve the personnel plan for the Executive Committee, the number and structure of the BIDV Trade Union Executive Committee for the 7th term…

On December 6, 2025, the Congress conducted important proceedings such as: approving the report on the implementation of the Resolution of the BIDV Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term and the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; electing the BIDV Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the delegation to attend the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union…

In his address at the Congress, Mr. Pham Tien Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, highly appreciated the organization of the Congress by the BIDV Trade Union, from planning to implementing related tasks in a prompt, serious, and systematic manner. Regarding the trade union's activities in the past period, Mr. Pham Tien Dung commended the BIDV Trade Union for successfully implementing many practical and effective emulation movements, thereby contributing to the excellent fulfillment of the bank's political and business tasks.

“ I am confident that the BIDV trade union movement and activities during the 2025-2030 term will continue to flourish, achieve many new successes, and make a worthy contribution to the growth of BIDV in particular and the sustainable development of the Vietnamese banking industry in general,” Mr. Pham Tien Dung emphasized.

Positive results in BIDV's trade union activities during the 2023-2025 period.

The report on the implementation of the Resolution of the BIDV Trade Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term highlighted outstanding achievements and affirmed the role of the trade union organization within the BIDV system. After more than two years of implementing the Resolution of the 6th Congress, the BIDV Trade Union has comprehensively and excellently fulfilled all 12 targets set, making a significant contribution to the completion of political tasks, business plans, and the building of a strong BIDV collective.

In carrying out its trade union duties, the BIDV Trade Union has effectively played its role in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and employees; closely coordinating with professional departments to ensure that employees receive full contractual rights, insurance benefits, and opportunities for training and professional development. In particular, the Trade Union has developed the project "Building BIDV as a happy bank for employees," aiming for a professional, friendly, and people-centered working environment to ensure the sustainable development of BIDV.

The BIDV Trade Union also implements many activities to care for the material well-being of its members and employees, such as organizing "union meal" programs, vacation activities, birthday celebrations, and regular health check-ups; promoting cultural, artistic, and sports movements... Internal social welfare work is always a priority for the BIDV Trade Union, implemented regularly through visits and support for employees and their families, with a total expenditure of over 134 billion VND.

Regarding social welfare work, the BIDV Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a responsible organization towards the community, aiming for sustainable development. During the past term, from the Trade Union's Social Fund and contributions from its members and employees, the BIDV Trade Union has allocated over 127 billion VND to implement many meaningful programs such as: building houses for needy families, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; supporting schools and health stations; building bridges for the people; participating in programs to protect the homeland's seas and islands, accompanying women in border areas; planting trees; supporting localities in installing solar streetlights, equipping water tanks, and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters…

In fulfilling its political tasks, the BIDV union and its employees have demonstrated a spirit of solidarity, creativity, and dedication, making significant contributions to BIDV's business results. The BIDV Trade Union has effectively implemented many practical emulation movements such as: "Excellent workers striving to excellently complete annual political tasks and business plans," "Building and practicing a culture of learning and creativity," "Bank employees cultivating ethics and professional skills, practicing workplace culture," and "Competing to increase green credit growth, digital transformation, and growth in digital SME customers"... These initiatives have created momentum to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency, making a significant contribution to the excellent achievement of BIDV's strategic goals in the 2023-2025 period.

As of the end of November 2025: BIDV's total assets reached over 3.2 million billion VND, continuing to maintain its position as the joint-stock commercial bank with the largest total assets in Vietnam; BIDV has been striving to provide credit capital to meet the economic development needs in accordance with the Government's policy, with outstanding loans reaching nearly 2.3 million billion VND, a 13.7% increase compared to the beginning of the year, and projected to grow by 15-16% for the whole year; Capital mobilization reached over 2.3 million billion VND, an 8.0% increase compared to the beginning of the year, and projected to grow by 12-13% for the whole year; Liquidity safety indicators are ensured according to the regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam; Pre-tax profit reached over 29,000 billion VND... BIDV is also the market leader in the green credit sector with outstanding loans reaching over 81,200 billion VND. Simultaneously, it affirms its position as the market-leading bank with over 22 million individual customers, over 500,000 corporate customers, and over 2,300 financial institutions globally…

Alongside this, BIDV has made many breakthroughs in its comprehensive transformation process in organizational model, resource management, retail and wholesale operations, green transformation, digital transformation, and technology application; while also focusing on cultivating and developing corporate culture, a culture of learning and innovation, and a culture of risk control...

With outstanding efforts and results during the 2023-2025 period, the BIDV Trade Union continues to be recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, the State, and higher-level trade unions. In particular, during the past period, the BIDV Trade Union was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (2023) and the Vietnam Banking Trade Union (2024), recognizing its achievement as an "Outstanding Unit in the Workers' and Employees' Movement and Trade Union Activities".

Building on the achievements of the past, in the 2025-2030 term, the BIDV Trade Union sets the goal of: “Building a strong, professional, and innovative trade union organization that effectively represents, cares for, and protects the legitimate rights and interests of its members and employees; contributing to building a cohesive, humane, and happy working environment.”

With the action slogan "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development" for the new term, the Congress identified 05 key tasks, including: (i) The Trade Union representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and employees; (ii) Launching emulation movements linked to BIDV's development strategy for the 2025-2030 period; (iii) Innovating working methods and promoting the role of the Trade Union in the digital transformation era; (iv) Building a strong and comprehensive BIDV Trade Union organization with effective and practical operations; (v) Strengthening political and ideological education for its members and employees, building a team of "4T" Trade Union officials: "Intelligence - Responsibility - Dedication - Pioneering"...

The Congress also identified two breakthroughs, including : (i) Restructuring the trade union organizational model towards a streamlined, professional, vertically integrated model, contributing to the goal of "Strong organization"; (ii) Digital transformation and innovation in trade union operating methods.

Based on the Congress Resolution, inheriting the glorious traditions and great achievements of previous terms, the BIDV Trade Union is determined to create many new breakthroughs, continuing to be a solid support and a happy home for employees; and at the same time, a strong internal driving force, contributing to the goal of building BIDV into a leading Large - Strong - Green bank in the Asian region, and together with the whole country, entering an era of prosperous, civilized and thriving development.

To lead the BIDV Trade Union to achieve its expected goals, the Congress unanimously elected the BIDV Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 21 members. The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, comprising 45 official delegates and 5 alternate delegates.
