Quy Nhon Ward Union strives to admit at least 1,500 new members

(GLO)- On the morning of October 29, Quy Nhon Ward Trade Union (Gia Lai province) held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress set a goal of striving to develop and recruit at least 1,500 new union members.

Attending the Congress were Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Huynh Thanh Xuan; Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Ha Duy Trung; and 100 official delegates representing union members and workers in the area.

Currently, Quy Nhon ward has 81 grassroots unions with more than 7,200 union members. In recent times, the ward union has effectively carried out the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

The material and spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers has been gradually improved. Emulation movements in labor and work have been focused on implementation; labor relations are basically stable, but there is still a potential risk of disputes, especially in the service and construction sectors.

During the 2025-2030 term, Quy Nhon Ward Trade Union set out 5 specific targets. In particular, striving to develop and recruit at least 1,500 new union members; establishing at least 20 grassroots trade unions in qualified non-state enterprises; 100% of state-owned enterprises and over 70% of non-state enterprises with trade unions to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements.

Speaking at the Congress, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation Ha Duy Trung requested the Quy Nhon Ward Labor Union to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, overcoming difficulties and challenges in the new situation; stepping up the work of mobilizing and gathering workers into the Union organization; improving the quality of human resources, contributing to the successful implementation of the Congress Resolution and building Quy Nhon Ward more and more civilized and modern.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of Quy Nhon Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030. Ms. Nguyen Pham Thanh Hoang was appointed to hold the position of Chairwoman of the Ward Trade Union.
