Free health check-ups right at your workplace.

From 8:30 AM, the health check-up area was already filled with female workers registering and waiting for their examinations. Despite the large number of participants—700 workers—the atmosphere remained orderly. For many female workers, this was not simply a health check-up, but also a very close and practical gesture of care from the Trade Union and the company.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Duyen, a worker at SHUNYUN Technology Co., Ltd. in the Thach That - Quoc Oai Industrial Park, shared that the work at the factory is often busy, with many overtime hours, so female workers have little opportunity to go for regular health check-ups. Workers' income is mainly used to cover living expenses and take care of their families, so many are hesitant to go for check-ups because they fear the cost.
"We are very happy to have the union and the company organize free health checkups right at our workplace. The program not only helps us feel more secure about our health but also makes us clearly feel the care and concern for employees," said Ms. Duyen.
According to Ms. Duyen, female factory workers often have little time to pay attention to their own health. Therefore, early examination, consultation, and disease screening are of great significance, helping them to be more proactive in taking care of their health and maintain mental stability so they can work with peace of mind.

Also participating in the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, from the intermediate inspection department of Meiko Vietnam Electronics Co., Ltd., highly appreciated the practical welfare activities of the Trade Union. “We feel the support of the trade union and the company in our daily lives. Programs like this make workers more confident and committed to the company,” Ms. Trang shared.

In addition to reproductive health check-ups and consultations, female workers participating in the program also received guidance from doctors on self-monitoring their health, early recognition of abnormal signs, and advice on nutrition and lifestyle suitable for the specific work environment of an industrial setting, along with free medication. Many women said that this is essential knowledge that they had little opportunity to access in the past.
Shifting from mere care to comprehensive support.

According to Nguyen Van Thang, Chairman of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor, the program is being implemented to help female union members and workers raise awareness about reproductive health care and proactively seek early screening for dangerous diseases. This is also part of a series of programs to care for union members and workers during Workers' Month 2026.

In particular, the Hanoi Trade Union is shifting from simply caring for its members to comprehensively supporting them. Many practical models and activities are regularly maintained, such as periodic health check-ups, legal counseling, support for workers in difficult circumstances, and improving the welfare of workers…

Evaluating the health care program for female workers organized by the City's Trade Union, Deputy Director of Hanoi Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital, Dinh Thuy Linh, emphasized that, in reality, many female workers still have a complacent attitude or lack the means to access specialized medical services due to work pressure, time constraints, and costs. Therefore, organizing free health check-ups right in the industrial zone becomes a meaningful activity, helping workers easily access high-quality medical services at their workplace, enabling timely detection and prevention of diseases.
Through concrete and practical activities such as free health check-ups, reproductive health counseling, and support for disadvantaged union members, the Trade Union is gradually affirming its role as a reliable support for workers. This is also a way for Workers' Month to not just be limited to emulation movements but to truly become a month of sharing, caring, and accompanying workers.
