In mid-June, Cua Dai Marine Ecological Park (Hoi An) under the Hi Green Resonance Social Responsibility Campaign of the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB) was handed over to local people for use.
The park is not only a playground for the community, but also supports the conservation of landscapes and native ecosystems, using counterpart funds from transactions of the MB Mastercard Hi Green card line and the Hi Green - Green Dawn race.
The park has a total area of about 13,000 m², part of the Cua Dai Green Corridor Planning Project implemented by the Institute of Construction Economics (ICUE) in collaboration with MB Bank and Think Playgrounds Social Enterprise (TPG). The project aims to regenerate and preserve the local ecosystem, while raising community awareness about preserving natural landscapes as well as wildlife populations.

Mr. Tran Cong Dinh - Director of MB Hoi An branch presented the project handover sign to Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh - Vice Chairman of Cua Dai Ward People's Committee
Inspired by the birds of Cua Dai sand dunes, the project is designed with the image of the Red-necked Sandpiper and the Sumatran Lark. Community facilities such as a multi-purpose playground, picnic tables and chairs, bicycle parking, and wheelchair-accessible sidewalks are also being implemented to improve the quality of life for residents, especially the elderly and children. In addition, the park is equipped witheducational information boards, including information about the native ecosystem, the meaning and objectives of the park construction project to provide a wealth of knowledge for visitors, as well as spread the message of sustainable development.
The park inauguration ceremony was held in conjunction with the Summer Camp Opening Program and the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children 2024 organized by Hoi An City. In addition to camping and kite flying activities, children also participated in a painting contest about wild birds in Cua Dai area with the theme "Hoi An Children Do Thousands of Good Deeds - Protect the Environment" and "Protecting Wild Birds in Hoi An Coastal Area".

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, Vice Chairman of Cua Dai Ward People's Committee shared: "In addition to greening the Cua Dai coastline, the project also serves the tourism development of Hoi An city according to Resolution 31 of Quang Nam province on building Hoi An - an ecological, cultural and tourist city".
According to data recorded in the 5 years from 2016-2022, Cua Dai beach has lost up to 112 hectares of land due to erosion (Assessment report of the Hydrometeorology Magazine published on April 25, 2022). Therefore, Cua Dai Eco Park is part of Hoi An City's efforts to revive Cua Dai beach and raise public awareness of sustainable development. 80% of the funding for park renovation is drawn from MB's counterpart fund through the Hi Green - Binh Minh Xanh running challenge and the MB Mastercard Hi Green card line.
MB Mastercard Hi Green is a green bank card launched by MB in collaboration with the international card organization Mastercard. The card has a blank card made of 100% recycled materials, and at the same time allows customers to access a series of incentives up to 50% at MB's green partner network such as Xanh SM, Coolmate, Cocoon... For each transaction using the Hi Green card, MB will match 1% of the spending on environmental and social projects (ESG). In particular, from May 30 to June 30, 2024, in response to World Environment Day (June 5), MB will increase the card match rate from 1% to 5%, creating more motivation for green living and green consumption for the community.

For each transaction using Hi Green card, MB will match 5% of spending on environmental and social projects.
Previously, in January 2024, MB used the counterpart budget of the Hi Green campaign to build the first ecological park in Phuc Tan (Hanoi). Revived from a waste-filled land, Phuc Tan forest park brings a new look to the area, creating a public space for people, while helping to preserve and protect the ecological environment. The project also improves polluted land and prevents landslides.

In May 2024, MB continued to sponsor the Public Art Project on Tran Nhat Duat pedestrian bridge, connecting with the Phuc Tan public art project, to further spread the green and creative community space.
In 2024, MB aims to build 10 playgrounds and ecological parks across the country. It is expected that in June and July, the next three projects will be completed in Son Tra (Da Nang), Binh Tan (Ho Chi Minh City) and Dong Anh (Hanoi).
