The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 1076/QD-BVHTTDL dated May 13, 2026, recognizing Kim Lien National Tourist Area in Nghe An province.
This is not only a significant milestone for tourism in Nghe An but also an affirmation of the special value of President Ho Chi Minh's hometown on the Vietnamese tourism map.
According to the Decision, the Kim Lien National Tourist Area covers an area of approximately 10,500 hectares, including a tourism center and a service center connected by National Highway 46A for a distance of about 10km.

Specifically, the tourism center covers an area of 8,946 hectares, including 6,018 hectares of the entire Kim Lien commune and a portion of Van An commune (north of the Lam River); 2,838 hectares in 19 villages and hamlets within the administrative boundaries of Nam Dan town before the administrative unit reorganization and 6 villages and hamlets within the administrative boundaries of Xuan Hoa commune before the administrative unit reorganization.
At the opening ceremony of the 2026 Lotus Village Festival on the evening of May 18th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province will preside over and coordinate with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to announce the Decision recognizing Kim Lien National Tourist Area.
