(GLO)- On the morning of November 11, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the Conference to review the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity during the 13th Party Congress term and the 2020-2025 term of the Provincial Party Committee.

On the side of Gia Lai province, there were comrades: Rah Lan Chung - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Ngoc Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, term I; representatives of leaders of agencies, units and Standing Party Committees of 135 communes and wards.

The report at the Conference stated: During the 13th Party Congress term and the 2020-2025 term of the Provincial Party Committee (abbreviated as the term), the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee have focused on leading, directing, thoroughly grasping, concretizing, seriously, promptly and synchronously implementing the solutions and regulations of the Central Government and the laws of the State on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity with high political determination.

Thereby, the province has achieved important results, creating clear changes in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and political system of the province, ensuring political security, creating a stable environment, serving the task of local socio-economic development.

Right from the beginning of the term, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee issued an Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress on internal affairs, preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee has established the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Wastefulness and Negativity, headed by the Provincial Party Secretary. The Steering Committee has issued 180 documents, organized 24 conferences with the participation of more than 15,403 delegates on anti-corruption, wastefulness and negativity; and conducted 12 inspections of 51 Party committees and units.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, branches, localities, agencies and units have issued thousands of documents; distributed documents, organized classes and conferences, and published news and articles to disseminate and propagate the Party's policies and legal regulations on preventing and combating corruption, negativity, complaints and denunciations, practicing thrift and combating waste. During the term, inspection and supervision work received special attention. Specifically, Party committees at all levels inspected 6,162 Party organizations and 146,459 Party members; supervised 3,584 Party organizations and 13,035 Party members; inspected 10 Party organizations and 84 Party members when there were signs of violations, and concluded that 140 Party organizations and 363 Party members had violations and shortcomings.

The Inspection Committees at all levels inspected 136 Party organizations and 697 Party members; inspected the implementation of inspection, supervision, and Party discipline enforcement tasks for 5,163 Party organizations; inspected Party finances and budget revenues and expenditures for 1,749 Party organizations and 14,138 Party members; and supervised 2,504 Party organizations and 3,666 Party members.

The provincial Inspectorate conducted 7,927 administrative and specialized inspections and examinations, and recommended handling responsibilities for 1,106 groups and 3,860 individuals; the investigation agencies at two levels prosecuted 89 cases/170 defendants; the investigation conclusions recommended prosecution of 78 cases/159 defendants. The People's Procuracy at two levels prosecuted 77 cases/156 defendants; the People's Court at two levels tried 82 cases/129 defendants for crimes...

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Dang Thi My Ngoc - Deputy Head of Department II of the Central Internal Affairs Commission acknowledged the achievements of the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Party committees and authorities at all levels of the province in thoroughly grasping and implementing the resolutions, directives, regulations and conclusions of the Central Committee, of the General Secretary - Head of the Central Steering Committee on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.

At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Local Department II requested the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue to seriously and effectively implement the four requirements of General Secretary To Lam on the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity with the goal of best serving the task of socio-economic development and building an effective, efficient and effective government apparatus.

Along with that, perfecting the legal system; promoting and handling responsibilities in overcoming loopholes and shortcomings; publicity, transparency, and accountability in public service activities; promptly detecting and strictly handling corruption, waste, and negativity cases, etc.

Concluding the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc affirmed that during the past term, the province's work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity had positive and clear changes and achieved many important results, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks, consolidating people's trust in the leadership of Party committees at all levels and the management and administration of the government.

In order for the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity to continue to be effective, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc requested Party committees, authorities, units and localities to consider strengthening the leadership of Party committees in the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity as a key and consistent political task of Party building and in local socio-economic development.

In particular, promoting the role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations and authorities at all levels in leadership, direction and implementation to ensure that the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity is carried out resolutely, persistently, regularly and continuously.

Focus on promoting the implementation of preventive solutions, focusing on information, propaganda, review, concretization, amendment, supplementation, and completion of regulations, resolutely, synchronously, and promptly implementing solutions and mechanisms to effectively control and prevent corruption, waste, negativity, and regulations on power control in the operations of public agencies.

Along with that, tighten discipline and order in public service performance; strengthen state management in all fields, prevent loss and waste in management and use of public finance and assets; focus on detecting and handling violations; recover lost and misappropriated assets due to corruption, waste and negativity.

In addition, strengthen the direction of self-inspection, detection of corruption, waste, and negativity within agencies and units and through the work of handling complaints and denunciations. Strictly and synchronously handle Party discipline, administrative discipline and criminal responsibility for violations related to corruption, waste, and negativity; improve the effectiveness of verification, handling of crime reports and denunciations, prosecution, investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of sentences for corruption, waste, and negativity cases. Timely remove difficulties and obstacles in the work of appraisal and asset valuation to serve the verification, investigation, and handling of cases and incidents...
