With a sense of urgency, journalists focused on the goal of quickly and accurately disseminating the key contents of the Congress; thereby helping readers both domestically and internationally to keep abreast of important developments in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere during this great national event.
To ensure the Congress is held safely and with dignity.
On the eve of the opening of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the forces responsible for security and support have simultaneously launched a high-intensity "campaign," demonstrating the highest sense of responsibility for the country's particularly important political task. From security, order, traffic, health, and communication to logistics, protocol, technology, and media, every plan has been meticulously reviewed, seriously rehearsed, and prepared to respond to any unforeseen situation. At each position, officers, soldiers, and support staff work diligently, accurately, silently but persistently, contributing to creating a solid "rear base" for the Congress to take place safely, solemnly, and successfully, meeting the expectations of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army.
Ensuring health security, preventing and controlling epidemics, food safety, environmental hygiene, and being prepared to respond to any medical situation are key tasks that directly contribute to the success of the Congress. The assigned units have ensured continuous readiness, preparedness for admission, emergency care, and effective control of epidemics and food safety throughout the duration of the Congress.
As the force tasked with ensuring the preparation for transporting delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Party, the officers and soldiers of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation (General Department of Logistics and Technology, Ministry of National Defense) clearly understand their responsibility, honor, and pride in serving the Congress.
For this mission, Captain Nguyen Quang Tu, Assistant for Mass Propaganda in the Political Department (971st Brigade, Vehicle and Transport Department, General Department of Logistics and Technology, Ministry of National Defense), was assigned to command a vehicle transporting delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. In his role as vehicle commander, Captain Nguyen Quang Tu stated that he had thoroughly briefed the drivers on regulations ensuring security, safety, and information confidentiality; and directed the drivers throughout the mission, safely transporting delegates to the required locations.
Among the military personnel tasked with transporting delegates to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Captain Tran Tai Chinh, a professional soldier and driver of Brigade 971 (Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation), shared that he felt extremely honored to be chosen and entrusted with this responsibility by his unit. Accordingly, the team of officers and drivers had participated in training according to plan well in advance to clearly define their duties and ensure the quality and efficiency of their work. He and his comrades participating in the mission strictly adhered to the law, discipline, etiquette, and military conduct in communicating with Party and State leaders, non-military personnel, and foreign guests; maintaining security, confidentiality, and the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers."
Also on the early morning of January 20th, despite the rain, on key routes and areas where the delegation's motorcade would pass, such as Kim Ma, Dao Tan, Lieu Giai... especially in the area around the National Convention Center, traffic police, riot police, fire and rescue police, ward police, and local forces were on standby, coordinating with the military to ensure security, order, and traffic safety for the activities on the opening day of the 14th National Congress of the Party.
Key routes leading to the National Convention Center, such as Pham Hung, Tran Duy Hung, Ho Tung Mau, Thang Long Boulevard, and the My Dinh Bus Station area, are being monitored by security forces with increased patrols. Traffic police are playing a core role in organizing traffic flow, regulating traffic, and guiding vehicles safely on the routes leading to the Convention venue and surrounding key routes.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien, Team Leader of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6, Traffic Police Department (Hanoi City Police), said that Tu Liem ward, where the Congress events are taking place, is a key area under the unit's management. The Command Board of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 proactively developed and issued a comprehensive plan, deployed 100% of its personnel, mobilized vehicles to the highest level, and ensured absolute traffic order and safety in the area.
"In addition to mobile patrols, organizing traffic flow, and guiding vehicles to ensure safe traffic, officers and soldiers also coordinate with the Intelligent Traffic Control Center (Hanoi City Police) through the AI camera system to promptly detect violations and handle incidents," Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien informed.
Recognizing that ensuring security and order for the 14th National Congress of the Party is a key political task, the Tu Liem Ward Police have strengthened their forces and resources, organizing comprehensive patrols and controls throughout the area. The unit has deployed patrol teams operating continuously on roads, residential areas, and key locations, promptly detecting and preventing violations of the law, and preventing the emergence of security and order "hot spots."
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Hanh, Head of Tu Liem Ward Police, the ward police have intensified checks on temporary residences, especially at accommodation facilities for foreigners. Hotels and residences of delegates attending the Congress have also been reviewed, and security has been strengthened. Propaganda efforts have been intensified, and authorities have requested owners of accommodation facilities in the area to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, and to fully declare temporary residences.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Hanh stated that patrol and control activities on various routes have been intensified. The unit has reminded and requested citizens to strictly comply with the Road Traffic Law, as well as urban order and environmental sanitation, ensuring urban civility and providing the best possible service during the Congress. This clearly demonstrates the determination of the Hanoi City Police in effectively implementing plans to ensure security, order, and smooth traffic flow for the 14th National Congress of the Party from the very first moments; thereby, both protecting the safety of the Congress and ensuring the stability of people's lives, contributing to building the image of a safe, civilized, and friendly capital city.
With the highest sense of responsibility, the forces participating in serving the Congress are striving to fulfill their duties and contribute to the overall success of the Congress.
