Green bean soup recipe for weight loss
Ingredient
- 200 grams of green beans
- 1 onion, 1 tomato, 1 carrot, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small piece of ginger
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 5gr fennel seeds
- 2.5gr turmeric powder
- 5gr coriander powder
- 5ml garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 500ml broth
- 15ml oil or ghee
- Fresh coriander leaves for decoration
Making
- Wash and soak mung beans for at least 2 hours then remove and drain.
- In a pressure cooker, add soaked beans, turmeric powder and enough water to cover beans. Cook for 20 minutes until beans are soft.
- For the soup stock, heat the oil or ghee in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and stir well.
- Add garlic, ginger and green chillies and stir-fry for a minute until fragrant.
- Add onion and cook until onion turns translucent.
- Add tomatoes and carrots, cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Put cooked beans in the pot with vegetable broth or water.
- Add coriander powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
- Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Decorate the dish and enjoy.
