On December 8, the Executive Board of the Grassroots Trade Union and representatives of Hyundai Vietnam Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. signed an agreement to increase salaries in 2024 for all employees.
Accordingly, after three negotiation sessions, in the spirit of understanding and sharing, the two sides reached an agreement to increase the basic salary by 9% for employees from the beginning of 2024, a performance bonus of 21.5 million VND/person and an additional Lunar New Year bonus of 500,000 VND/person. After signing, employees will receive 11.5 million VND and 10 million VND before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin. In addition, on December 31, employees will also receive a performance bonus with an average of 1 month's salary/person (about 7.5 million) for achievements in the last 6 months of the year. For Tet bonuses, employees will receive 500,000 VND for New Year's Eve and 3 million VND for Lunar New Year.
In addition, the company will give Tet gifts to all employees worth VND500,000/person. Thus, before the Lunar New Year 2024, employees will receive a total bonus of about VND32.5 million/person, including performance bonus, achievement bonus and Tet bonus.

In addition to taking care of the employees, the company's grassroots union will also spend more than 1 billion VND to give Tet gifts to more than 3,000 union members, support more than 400 union members living far away with transportation costs to return home for Tet at a rate of 100,000 VND to 300,000 VND/person. Together with the superior union, visit and give gifts to more than 50 cases of employees in difficult circumstances.
It is known that in 2023, the company will lay keels for 13 ships and deliver 12 ships (including 2 ships with a capacity of 110,000 tons), with estimated revenue of 558 million USD and a budget contribution of 13 million USD. Since switching to new construction, the company has delivered 162 cargo ships and oil tankers to customers around the world . In 2024, according to plan, the company will lay keels for 15 ships and deliver 15 ships.
