CT UAV cooperates with SGS to deploy international aerospace quality standards

CT UAV cooperates with SGS from Switzerland - the world's leading corporation in testing, inspection and certification to implement AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality management standards for CT UAV's headquarters and 5 factories.

On November 12, a representative of CT UAV (a member of CT Group) said that this unit and SGS Group (Société Générale de Surveillance) from Switzerland signed a cooperation agreement to implement international aerospace quality standards AS9100D, ISO 9001 for the entire operating system of the headquarters, factory chain, research center, quality product manufacturing process...

SGS is the world's leading testing, inspection and certification group, considered the world's quality "gatekeeper" with over 145 years of experience, operating in over 140 countries, owning over 2,600 offices and laboratories, with over 98,000 employees.

The group has a revenue of 6.79 billion Swiss francs in 2024 (equivalent to 8.43 billion USD) and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. As a leader in testing, inspection and certification, SGS is a trusted partner to thousands of corporations in the aviation, energy and high-tech industries.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nam Tran - Regional Director of Business Assurance Solutions of SGS Indonesia and Vietnam shared: "AS9100D is a very strict standard, requiring synchronization in management and people at the global level. We appreciate CT UAV's efforts in choosing the path of international standardization - towards sustainable value."

AS9100D is a quality management system standard developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and is recognized globally. This standard requires risk control, material traceability, supply chain monitoring and product safety assurance at a high level. However, the true value of AS9100D is only confirmed when it is assessed and certified by SGS, the most prestigious organization in the world.

ISO 9001 is an international standard for quality management systems, applicable to all types of businesses. ISO 9001 certification requires businesses to build standardized processes, control quality, evaluate management effectiveness and continuously improve. ISO 9001 not only helps CT UAV strengthen its quality management foundation but is also a prerequisite for implementing AS9100D, ensuring that processes from research, design, production... are transparent, effective and comply with international requirements.

CT UAV standardizing the entire system according to international aerospace standards under the supervision and support of SGS will ensure that standards are tightened and true value is affirmed.

With SGS certification, the enterprise not only meets the standards but is also "registered" in the international supply system. SGS representative expects that CT UAV can become the first enterprise in the Vietnamese UAV industry to achieve AS9100D certification at the scale of the entire UAV production system.

The entire standard is expected to be fully implemented within 6-12 months, creating a premise for domestic enterprises to learn the quality management model according to international aviation standards.

CT UAV has its Headquarters at 20 Truong Dinh, District 3 (old), Ho Chi Minh City and has built 5 UAV factories at CT Group's Concentrated Digital Technology Park - CT High-tech R&D Center in Thuan An (on DT743 Avenue, near Ho Chi Minh City National University) to meet the rapidly growing demand of the world market for UAVs.

According to experts from SGS Vietnam, to achieve AS9100D standards, CT UAV must meet many extremely strict technical requirements and management processes, including risk management throughout the product life cycle, technical change control, material traceability, flight safety assurance and first sample testing.

ISO 9001 serves as a foundation for CT UAV to standardize these processes, ensuring that the overall quality management system operates effectively, transparently and continuously improves.

In the future, CT UAV aims to integrate AS9100D, ISO 9001 and ESG standards, aiming for a green production model, energy saving and sustainable development. Standardizing the system helps businesses increase productivity by up to 25%, reduce errors by more than 30%, save operating costs and improve absolute safety. This is a prerequisite when exporting to international markets such as the US, Europe and Japan.

With the support from SGS, the high determination of the CT UAV team and the support of CT Group, achieving AS9100D and ISO 9001 certification will be an important milestone when, for the first time, a Vietnamese UAV enterprise reaches the international aviation standard AS9100D, which is expected to lay the foundation for UAV production standards of the Vietnamese UAV industry./.
