80-year-old woman drowned in Bac Thanh Mien commune (Hai Phong)

After leaving home for a day, Ms. VTT (born in 1946) in Thu Phap village, Hai Hung commune (Hai Phong city) was found drowned in Bac Thanh Mien commune.

On the afternoon of July 19, a representative of the People's Committee of Bac Thanh Mien Commune ( Hai Phong City) said that a drowning incident had just occurred in the commune.

At around 12:00 on July 19, Mr. Pham Van Manh (born in 1978) in Bac Thanh Mien commune discovered a female body lying on her back in a pond in the Dong La Reserve area in Lien Dong village. On the bank of the pond were some items: a pair of sandals, a conical hat and a bunch of keys.

Mr. Manh reported the incident to the local authorities to verify the victim's information. Through investigation, the Bac Thanh Mien Commune Police identified the victim as Ms. VTT (born in 1946) in Thu Phap Village, Hai Hung Commune. Ms. T. left her home at noon on July 18.

The authorities and local government have organized an investigation of the scene and a preliminary autopsy found no signs of abnormalities. The initial assessment was that Ms. T. drowned, so the victim was handed over to her family for burial.
