The conference also sought voter opinions on three candidates for the Hanoi City People's Council at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, including two candidates for the Hanoi City People's Council: Mr. Pham Quy Tien, Chairman of the Party Committee's Inspection Committee of the City People's Council, and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City People's Council; and Mr. Bui Duy Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Soc Son commune; and one candidate for the Yen Hoa ward People's Council: Ms. Trinh Thi Dung, Chairman of the Yen Hoa ward People's Committee.

Attending the conference were delegates including: Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the National Assembly 's Committee on Culture and Social Affairs; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; and voters representing residential group 16, Xuan Dinh Ward, Hanoi City.
After hearing the biographies and work histories of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, and Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union, along with the three candidates for the Hanoi City People's Council at all levels, the conference held discussions with many insightful and heartfelt contributions. Voters expressed their confidence in the political acumen and professional competence of the candidates; acknowledging that the candidates and their families have always been exemplary leaders in emulation movements, maintaining close and sincere relationships with their neighbors and making positive contributions to the overall development of the locality.

Voters expect that if elected as National Assembly deputies for the 16th term, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh and Ms. Tran Lan Phuong will be a strong bridge to bring the voices and aspirations of voters in Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general to the parliamentary chamber, contributing to the National Assembly's decision-making in building and developing the country and better caring for the people's lives.
Representing the agency where Ms. Tran Lan Phuong works, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam Women's Union, spoke to further clarify the personnel nomination process at the unit. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen stated that the nomination of Ms. Tran Lan Phuong as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly was carried out rigorously, objectively, and in accordance with the law through the steps of soliciting opinions from voters at her workplace.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Vice Chairperson of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and President of the Vietnam Women's Union, delivered a speech.
The President of the Vietnam Women's Union also assessed Ms. Tran Lan Phuong as a highly qualified professional, who has risen through the ranks from the grassroots level, held various positions, and possesses a particularly high sense of responsibility in her work. On behalf of the leadership of the agency, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen expressed her deep gratitude for the sincere feelings and trust that the people of Residential Group No. 16, Xuan Dinh Ward, have placed in the candidates, including Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union Tran Lan Phuong.
On behalf of the candidates, Central Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh respectfully thanked the voters of Residential Group 16, Xuan Dinh Ward, for their trust. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh emphasized that being nominated as a candidate for the National Assembly and the People's Council is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility for the candidates before the Party, the State, and the People.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh pledged to continue upholding a sense of responsibility, dedicating more time to meeting with and listening to the opinions of voters and the people; actively participating in building and perfecting institutions, policies, and laws to meet practical requirements.

100% of the voters present voted in favor.
At the conclusion of the conference, with a spirit of focus, 100% of the voters present unanimously approved the nomination of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh and Ms. Tran Lan Phuong as candidates for the 16th National Assembly. The conference also reached a unanimous agreement to nominate Mr. Pham Quy Tien and Mr. Bui Duy Cuong as candidates for the Hanoi City People's Council, and Ms. Trinh Thi Dung as a candidate for the Yen Hoa Ward People's Council for the 2026-2031 term.
