Understanding correctly – being adequately prepared before filing the declaration.

On the afternoon of February 11th, the Tax Department (Ministry of Finance), in collaboration with MISA Group, organized an online training program titled "Hands-on guidance to help business households successfully record books, declare, and pay taxes." The program was implemented during the peak business season leading up to Tet (Lunar New Year), when market transactions increase sharply.

This activity is a continuation of the "60-day intensive campaign to transform the business model from lump-sum tax to declaration-based tax for household businesses" by the Tax Department in 2025. The campaign has been praised by the Prime Minister and positively received by the household and individual business community, who have responded positively to the transition to the new management method.

According to the organizers, the program attracted more than 10,000 business owners who registered to participate and recorded over 3 million views via livestream on social media platforms.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Mai Son, Deputy Director of the Tax Department, stated: In the context of peak business activity with a sharp increase in transactions, guiding business households to fully implement the procedures for bookkeeping, issuing electronic invoices, and declaring and paying taxes correctly is essential. This helps proactively control data, minimize errors, and reduce the pressure of tax settlement.

In line with the established direction, Mr. Le Hong Quang – General Director of MISA Group – stated that, following the success of the "60-day intensive campaign to transform the business model from lump-sum tax to declaration for household businesses," MISA continues to fulfill its commitment to "accompany, understand, and be responsible" with small business owners nationwide.

In this collaborative effort, MISA will work closely with the Tax authorities to implement support activities in a "hands-on" manner, guiding business households in applying technology in tax declaration, ensuring convenient, accurate, and compliant fulfillment of tax obligations.

According to Mr. Le Hong Quang, the training program focuses on practical content such as: helping business households understand their tax obligations correctly; providing detailed guidance on how to declare taxes according to regulations; introducing technological solutions to support tax declaration and reduce errors; and directly answering any questions that arise.

MISA leaders added that the opinions and concerns recorded during the program will be compiled and analyzed to develop promotional materials in various forms such as electronic leaflets, short videos posted on MISA's website and social media platforms, and those of the Tax authorities. Through this, business households can proactively access information on tax policies and management procedures, as well as learn how to properly record books, declare, and pay taxes. This is also a key focus of the "hands-on guidance" objective emphasized at the training session.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thu Tra, Head of the Tax Compliance and Taxpayer Support Management Board, tax policies for business households will undergo significant changes starting in 2026. The representative from the Tax Department emphasized the message "Understand correctly - Prepare sufficiently before filing" and considered this a crucial step in fulfilling tax obligations accurately.

Accordingly, business households need to pay attention to four key points. First, thoroughly review revenue for each sales channel and record all generated revenue. Second, maintain complete records of input and output invoices, supporting documents, and sales data as required. Third, correctly identify the business household group based on revenue level to apply appropriate tax obligations and accounting regulations. Fourth, prepare all necessary documents and records in advance before filing tax returns.

Currently, household businesses are categorized into groups based on revenue size. Those with annual revenue under 500 million VND are tax-exempt but must still monitor and declare their revenue. Groups with higher revenue must declare, pay taxes, and follow accounting regulations accordingly. Correctly identifying the business group and preparing all necessary documents from the outset helps proactively control data and ensure compliance with legal regulations.

Practice issuing invoices, maintaining records, and paying taxes.

At the program, Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen – Director of Savitax Tax Consulting Joint Stock Company – shared practical content related to tax compliance procedures under the new regulations. Accordingly, business households need to issue electronic invoices at the right time when transferring goods or completing the provision of services; ensure that all mandatory contents on the invoice are included according to Decree 70/2025/ND-CP; and organize accounting records according to Circular 152/2025/TT-BTC appropriate for each revenue group.

In addition, business households are guided through the process of electronic tax declaration and payment, as well as important deadlines that need to be adhered to. Experts also noted some common errors such as issuing invoices at the wrong time, not fully recording revenue, not standardizing document storage, or not separating business cash flows.

According to MISA representatives, in parallel with the Tax Department from the very beginning of the 60-day peak campaign, the Group has implemented a program to give away MISA eShop software for free to 2 million business households; and at the same time, provide free lifetime access to sales and tax filing software on mobile phones to households with annual revenue under 500 million VND.

MISA's technical team provided direct support at markets and commercial areas to guide users on how to use the application. This activity was implemented nationwide as part of the campaign.

Ms. Bui Thi Trang – Director of MISA's Retail Solutions Division – introduced the MISA eShop solution with the message "Easy Tax Filing - Peace of Mind in Sales". This solution integrates sales, invoicing, tax declaration and payment, and accounting on a single platform. The system fully complies with the regulations on 7 types of accounting ledgers, automates sales, revenue and expenditure, inventory management, and tax obligation tracking.

According to MISA, the solution is designed with a user-friendly interface that does not require in-depth accounting knowledge; it integrates a voice-activated order placement feature to support users in their daily sales activities. Simultaneously, the company is implementing two support programs based on revenue scale: households with revenue up to 500 million VND/year receive the solution for life; households with revenue exceeding 500 million VND/year receive 3 months of free use, including 5,000 pre-installed electronic invoices, 50 input invoices, and 12 months of digital signatures.

Within the framework of the program, a Q&A session was held to directly address practical situations such as determining the timing of invoice issuance, classifying revenue groups, preparing accounting records, and implementing electronic tax declaration and payment. Representatives from specialized departments of the Tax Department, along with experts, provided detailed answers to the issues of concern to business households.

At the conclusion of the program, the Tax Department and MISA Group announced they will continue to collaborate on training activities and provide hands-on support nationwide. The goal is to enable business households to access new policies promptly, standardize management processes, and apply technology in business operations, thereby enhancing compliance and transparency in financial activities.
