At the An Giang bridge, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung chaired; Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc, along with representatives of departments, branches, and investors attended.

According to the plan, by the end of 2025, the whole country will have completed 3,803km of expressway, of which the main expressway is 3,345km, the intersection and approach roads are 325km. It is expected that by December 19, 3,513km will be completed and technically opened (main expressway is 3,188km, approach roads are 325km).
Along with that, the coastal road route is oriented in the road network planning with a total length of 2,813km, minimum scale of grade III, IV roads. Up to now, 1,450km has been put into operation, 591km is under construction (251km is about to be completed); about 405km is being prepared for investment and expected to be completed in the period 2026 - 2030, about 367km has not been invested.

For the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project, Component Project 1, has a total length of over 57km (passing through An Giang over 56km) with a scale of 4 lanes, 17m wide roadbed. The total investment of the project is over 13,526 billion VND, funded from the central and provincial budgets. The project includes 4 packages 42, 43, 44, 45; construction progress reached 66.88% (exceeding 0.08% of the plan).
Currently, Component Project 1 is being implemented, basically ensuring progress compared to the plan. The investor is coordinating with related contractors to shorten the construction time; striving to complete Component Project 1 on December 19, 2025, ensuring quality.

Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested ministries, branches, localities, investors, management boards, and contractors to focus highly, proactively, and actively lead, direct, and handle difficulties and problems related to site clearance, construction materials, etc. as quickly and effectively as possible.
Strengthen supervision, prevent corruption, negativity and waste; strictly handle violations, those who do not perform well and reward and encourage those who do well, especially engineers and workers.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also requested relevant entities to increase support and assistance to each other in implementing projects in the spirit of "For the common good"...
