In June 1989, Hoang Van Phuong completed his military service, returned to his hometown to start a family and earn a living by farming. Not resigned to poverty, in 2008, veteran Hoang Van Phuong decided to move his family to village 5, Cu Knia commune, Cu Jut district, Dak Nong province (now Cu Jut commune, Lam Dong province). At first, in the new land, the life of veteran Hoang Van Phuong and his wife and two small children was extremely difficult. With less than 10 million VND as their inheritance, his family only had enough to buy a small plot of land with a dilapidated wooden house to live in. Every day, veteran Hoang Van Phuong had to work as a hired hand, mixing concrete for Phu Son Construction Company. His wife made tofu and raised pigs to earn extra income.
With the will and determination of Uncle Ho's soldiers, veteran Hoang Van Phuong saved, accumulated, and boldly borrowed more capital from the bank to invest in buying land to develop the economy on a farm scale. Initially, the area was 4 hectares, gradually increasing to 10 hectares. In addition, veteran Hoang Van Phuong also opened a business in construction materials, buying and selling machinery for transporting goods and construction materials.
CCB Hoang Van Phuong confided: “At first, my family encountered many difficulties, such as lack of capital for production, lack of experience in raising livestock, not adapting to the climate and weather... But I was determined to always strive and try to overcome myself. When I first came to Cu Knia, I did whatever people hired me to do to earn a living and raise my children. Working for hire was also a way for me to learn and accumulate business experience. Thanks to being trained in the army, especially in the training environment of the Special Forces with the spirit of determination to fight and win, when I returned to civilian life, I was determined not to accept poverty. Along with the support of the CCB Association at all levels, the attention of local Party committees and authorities, especially the open-door economic development policies of the Party and State; along with the bank's policy of lending capital for investment in production and business, I myself boldly borrowed money to buy more land to grow agricultural and industrial crops. The income from the area The family accumulated and invested in buying more land from the initial 4 hectares. Up to now, the family owns 10 hectares of land with many types of crops grown in a multi-crop system, such as: Pepper, coffee, cashew, jackfruit, mango and other crops that have been and are being harvested.
Not stopping at developing the farm, CCB Hoang Van Phuong also works in construction, trading in construction materials, buying machinery and trucks to transport goods and mixing and pouring concrete to serve the needs of the people. In 2021, CCB Hoang Van Phuong boldly established Son Hai Dak Nong Construction Investment Company Limited, of which he is the director. From 2021 to now, the results of the two industries of agricultural production and construction, the income of CCB Hoang Van Phuong's family has reached more than 5 billion VND/year, after deducting expenses, the profit is about 1.5 billion VND/year to accumulate for investment in development and reproduction.
