DTO - "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is not only a political task, but also a guideline for each person's life." This simple but profound saying is the life philosophy of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - an exemplary veteran who has devoted his entire life to the community and his homeland.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang - Chairman of the Veterans Association of My Tan Commune (Cao Lanh City) is always dedicated to his work.
In 1981, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, then 18 years old, joined the army and set foot on the Cambodian battlefield. There, he and his comrades not only fought to protect the Fatherland but also carried out a noble international mission - helping the friendly country escape the genocide. Those fierce days forged in him a resilient spirit and passionate patriotism.
In July 1987, Mr. Hoang was honored to be admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam by Unit D4, E320, Group 7706. This was an important milestone in his life, marking his maturity in political awareness and steadfast belief in the Party's ideals. Since then, he has become more deeply aware of the responsibility of a Party member and has constantly strived to be worthy of the organization's trust.
After completing his military service, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang returned to his hometown (My Tan commune, Cao Lanh city), continued to work, study, participate in social work and constantly contribute to the community.
In 2020, when he was in his twilight years, Mr. Hoang was elected as Chairman of the Veterans Association of My Tan Commune (Cao Lanh City). He actively launched and built emulation movements, closely linked to the local political tasks and the emulation program of the City Association.
One of the most important tasks that Mr. Hoang is most passionate about is to deploy and spread the study and follow of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. According to him, studying and following Uncle Ho's example is not only the duty of cadres and party members but also the responsibility of every citizen in society. He is exemplary in every action, from taking care of flower streets, weeding, cleaning the environment to participating in activities and propaganda on crime prevention and control, maintaining security and order; building models of "Mutual support capital groups" to help members develop their family economy.
He is also the Head of the “Core Team to Fight for the Party’s Ideological Foundation in the New Situation” established by the My Tan Commune Party Committee, contributing to raising awareness among the community, especially the younger generation, about the responsibility to protect the Party’s ideological foundation. The meetings are not only a forum for discussing national history but also a space to spread national pride and love for the homeland.
The story of Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang is a vivid proof of the saying: “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” are not only soldiers who protect the country during war, but also resilient, compassionate people, devoted to the country in peace. He is not only a shining example of morality and patriotism, but also an exemplary cadre, a father, a grandfather with profound teachings for the younger generations.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Truc - Secretary of the Party Committee of My Tan commune, commented: "Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang is a very enthusiastic and exemplary person in all work, from Association work to social movements. His dedication is a typical shining example of the locality".
With his positive contributions to community development, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang was commended by the People's Committee of Cao Lanh City for his outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in the period of 2021 - 2024. The Chairman of the Association of War Veterans of Dong Thap province awarded him a Certificate of Merit for his outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation and patriotism movement "Exemplary War Veterans in 2024". This is a worthy recognition of his contributions and a testament to the strong spread of Ho Chi Minh's ideology in the community.
