Previously, at 9:25 p.m. last night (May 5), Border Guard Squadron 2 received orders from the City Border Guard Command to promptly rescue a victim who had a stroke while working at sea.
Immediately after receiving the order from the Commander of the City Border Guard, the unit mobilized the high-speed boat crew BP 081501 with 05 comrades directly commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Pham Trung Hieu, Squadron Leader, to coordinate with medical staff of the 115 Emergency Center to promptly go to sea to rescue.
During the maneuver, the Border Guard Ship maintained communication with the captain of the fishing boat carrying the victim to shore (about 5 nautical miles from Da Nang lighthouse, Son Tra Peninsula).
The victim was now paralyzed on one side, had a stiff mouth, and was very tired. The rescue team instructed the fishing boat to increase speed, maintain direction, and coordinate to send signals to each other using lights to orient the target, while using a maximum speed of 35 nautical miles/hour to quickly approach. At 23:50 the same day, the border boat docked at the port of Border Guard Squadron 2 and brought the victim safely to shore.
It is known that the victim is Mr. Dang Van To, born in 1962, residing in An Hai Nam ward, Son Tra district, Da Nang city, captain and owner of ship DNa 90658 TS.
