On February 19th, sources from Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital reported that doctors at the hospital had successfully performed surgery on a male patient who had stabbed himself in the abdomen with a knife.

The knife, measuring 15 cm in length, was removed from Mr. V's abdomen after surgery.

Earlier, on the morning of February 16th, Mr. TMV (29 years old, residing in Thanh Tri District, Soc Trang Province) was brought by his family to Bac Lieu Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment in a condition where a knife had been stabbed into his abdomen, tearing the abdominal cavity and causing significant blood loss.
According to family members, during a heated argument between Mr. V. and his wife, Mr. V. took a 15 cm long knife and stabbed himself in the abdomen.
After undergoing tests, Mr. V. underwent emergency surgery performed by doctors from the General Surgery Department and related departments. After about an hour, the surgical team removed a knife approximately 15 cm long.
According to the doctor, Mr. V. was stabbed in the abdomen, but fortunately, the knife only penetrated the abdominal wall, and no vital organs in the abdominal cavity were damaged. Currently, Mr. V.'s health is stable, and he is expected to be discharged from the hospital in a few days.
