Rescued 8 fishermen whose boat sank at Nhat Le estuary

The Quang Tri Provincial Military Command said that forces of the Quang Ninh Region 2 Defense Command coordinated with Nhat Le Border Guard Station to rescue eight fishermen whose boat sank at Nhat Le estuary (Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri).

Previously, at 11:50 a.m. on November 12, fishing boat QB 91138 TS captained by Hoang Viet Thanh (born in 1992, residing in Ha Thon, Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri ) was sunk by waves when entering Nhat Le estuary, about 500m from shore. The crew sent out an emergency rescue signal. At that time, there were 8 crew members on board.

Upon receiving the news, the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command directed the Quang Ninh Region 2 Defense Command to coordinate with the Nhat Le Border Guard Station to urgently rescue the crew members. Currently, 8 crew members have been brought ashore safely and given medical care.

It is known that the fishing boat QB 91138 TS, 16.5m long, 450 CV capacity, working in the cage folding business, departed at 0:15 on November 8 at Nhat Le estuary, when the boat was coming ashore when the accident happened.
