On the evening of July 19, information from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province said that by 7:00 p.m. the same day, functional forces were making efforts and urgently deploying emergency rescue measures.
Specifically, forces including Fire Prevention and Rescue Police, Border Guard, Waterway Police and functional units of Quang Ninh province quickly sent more vehicles to the scene to carry out rescue measures.

According to the passenger list registered by the owner of the Green Bay 58 ship with registration number QN-7105 with the Quang Ninh Inland Waterway Port Authority, the ship left the port with 48 people with addresses in Cau Giay, Hanoi City and 3 crew members. Among the tourists on board were many children who followed their parents on sightseeing and tourism .
By the evening of July 19, the search and rescue work was still taking place very urgently, but encountered many difficulties due to the darkness and strong currents. Many fishing boats were mobilized to illuminate the rescue area and search for victims.
By 7 p.m. the same day, the authorities were supplemented with additional officers and soldiers to assist and had found 6 bodies and rescued 11 people. Currently, more than 30 people are still missing.
Speaking to CAND Newspaper reporters, Mr. Nguyen Ba Viet, Director of Quang Ninh General Hospital, said that the hospital's doctors are providing emergency care and monitoring the health of a number of patients who were victims of the sunken tourist boat and were rescued by rescue forces. Currently, the health of the patients is temporarily stable.
